Maybe they fix the instance cap, maybe they nerf the MCPs, but your suggestion here was unhelpful to me or my situation, regardless of what happens. All I can do is hope for the best, hope Blizzard makes a not-dumb choice and recruit as needed.
And to be fair to me, if you read through most of the “suggestions” on this thread, they are pretty snarky.
A decent idea on the surface, but actually a HUGE HUGE nerf to MCP. This would make ferals unviable in raids period. We’re on the razors edge without MCP.
If they nerf MCPs mid classic, the company really needs to go bankrupt. That way, someone with some sense can come in and buy it and then get rid of the people who made the bad decisions that led to bankruptcy.
This is a good idea. Also, have it drop from BRD, Scholo, or BRS if it’s going to be the Druid BiS weapon. No one is going to convince me that repeatedly farming a level 30 instance for multiple copies of a BiS weapon was an intended mechanic.
I don’t particularly want to farm BRD, Scholo, or BRS. Gnomer is fine for me actually. Just repeal the 30-per-day cap and I’d be fine.
He said he heals in a pvp spec, like the rest of his guild, and they clear all content easily. Dispels, decurse, and interrupts are arguably more important on some bosses than raw dps, which don’t show up on a log score.
It’s the fact that feral druids best weapon in classic is a from a level 30-35 dungeon, that has limited use. This could be easily resolved with some changes. But the no changes crowed was against actually improving the game. So, I’m completely fine with it. They don’t need MCP to play the game so your ‘melee’ group can parse.
MCP are mandatory if you want to main tank, especially horde side. You need MCP to maintain threat. If this is not the case then either: (1) your warriors are not zugging hard enough or (2) your shaman forgot to drop windfury totem.
Sure, you can cat dps without MCP, but why hold back a spec that already has to try harder than everyone else just to squeeze in 3rd place.
For every feral druid’s sake, I worry that removing or nerfing something that makes them at least semi-viable dps to bring to raids will either just make feral druids stop playing and/or raids will stop bringing them. Its already in the game and part of classic, so why are you for ruining the fun someone else is having?
Druids who farm MCPs do it because they like playing that class and this lets them feel like they are contributing more.
Your attitude just seems really unnecessarily hateful for not a particularly good reason.
Maybe your intent is not this but to say druids and druid items need changes? But that isn’t going to happen until TBC, Blizzard is not going to change that. So why take away what they currently have?
But why would you quit over 1 day of bad rng for trivial content. If i lose my world buffs which are double digit dps gains I don’t quit the game. If this story is even true, it’s about a 1% chance to have only 3 drop in 30 runs so that would happen one day every 1-2 months.
That’s why. Maybe she plays a different class. Who knows. She’s still deciding and we’re still working with her. But this current situation is not how she wants to play, and I get that 100%. That’s why.
I don’t know what the drop rate is. I’m not a druid. I know I’ve heard plenty of complaints from other feral druids in passing over the last some odd months of classic, so I’m gonna say bad RNG happens, and your whole account shouldn’t be punished for it.
