Why would they do a Thursday release on new years eve what?
Means the dev team doesnt need to skip there pre xmas vacantions to balance launch. Also means S1 isnt starting during the holidays.
because they told us in the small print the expansion would be out before then.
If they go past it they legally have to give out refunds. I know they already are now but still.

I believe the actual date was on or before Dec. 29th.
It’s prob gonna be mid November, they can’t push it back that far.

My guess would be December 22nd, it gives them the maximum amount of time to fix what needs to be fixed and get it on store shelves before Christmas.
Yeah… let’s not pretend the race to world first matters in the grand scheme of life.
They plan around their employees being around to fix stuff that breaks, and they might not want to drop a raid when people are away with their families, but it’s not the actual race that they care about, I assure you. And they shouldn’t.

They are providing refunds, if people want to request them.
There’s money being made in those world first races. It matters to them.

Delay it to Q1 2021.
Early-mid November is too soon, and any time this year after that puts either the Mythic race or launch itself around Christmas/New Year.
I don’t think world first raiders care when the raid is released. They’ll do it regardless. That’s what makes them world first.

The race to world first is entirely private, they have no part in it.
Yes I did, but it doesn’t invalidate my comment, since you said it in the first place. 
And I’m not sure about your ‘legal’ comment. They aren’t cancelling the expansion, they are just delaying it. I don’t believe changing the date of that makes it a legal issue. They give customers the option - if you are unhappy with the change, here is your money back. Otherwise you wait for supply.
it is a legal thing under EU law
But it is still a choice the customer has to make.
Just blizzard would not be allowed to say no
