Please consider the players who like to world pvp but don't like to arena and rgb

I really enjoy some good world pvp( limited as it may be). However, I cannot stand being forced to quest in 365 gear just in case I get attacked. Why not consider the players who want the 10 percent bonuses , enjoy wpvp, but don’t consider pvp anywhere near the top of the list?

I’m currently mythic geared(375) and even as a tank with full set of mythic gear I’m getting melted in 5 secs flat by priests, warlocks etc etc etc. I don’t want the pvp sets, I want to feel like wearing my hard earned gear puts me at the right level for world pvp. I just don’t understand the reasoning for scaling them in the pve world way past the pve gear.

And please, don’t be like every trade chat in the game and just trash talk in the comments. Telling me to turn off world pvp is not an answer.

I like a fair fight, but being a tank and still dying in 5 secs in a 1v1 is not fair gameplay. Totally ig ores the likely massive amount t of players who are like me.

Hey man, there is wpvp specific gear you can get, here is a link to a guide. You technically wouldn’t have to step foot into a bg or an arena if you just farm bloody coins.

This gear, and honor or conquest gear will scale you up to 408+ ilvl when fighting other players and it’s going to be better than your mythic dungeon gear.

If you don’t know where the vendors are, ask a guard about the gladiators sanctum.

You can get bloody coins for wpvp gear just by killing players, doing the wpvp world quests, or looking out for air drops. Malicia will announce something about “survival of the fittest” and if you check your map you’ll see a little moving icon for where the crate will drop. Usually you’ll get some wpvp at the drop site which is cool.

You also want to get your honor vendor 2 set trinket bonus for extra stamina and main stat. The gladiators medallion is great for getting out of crowd control effects as well.

Also I believe their is PvP gear that you can get from someone that is a smith and it works in PvE too.

Quest in wpvp gear, it scales up if you engage in pvp combat.

One thing that I would like to add. PvP areas were put in for a reason; for PvP. That 10 percent bonus experience was to get people to into Warmode for PvP. It was never made for PvE players. I know you may want that to change but it’s not going to change. Imagine going into game store and demanding them to sell you a jacket. That’s basically what you are doing.

The first thing that I tell people new to PvP is that they are going to die. It doesn’t matter what you do, what class you play, or what gear you have, you are going to die at some point. If they can’t handle that they have no business in any PvP area at all. As I mentioned earlier, get the gear. Get someone who is a smith to get you PvP gear.

From what I understand it’s amazing and you can upgrade it and additionally use it in PvE too. I remember back in Lich King I was getting “a talking to” in this one PUG that I was tanking for. The guy was miffed because I was in full PvP gear. I was like “dude hold my beer” and pretty much owned the whole dungeon… in PvP gear. I also tanked Nax too… in PvP gear. It’s worth it, you’ll thank me later lol.

I don’t generally agree with Mort on, well, anything and when I do it scares me.

His answer is helpful and should be the go to answer for questions like this in the future.

Cheers.

This guy is complaining about the new expansion just to complain. This is evident because he made a thread and forgot about it
