It’s not a big deal but I’ve recently decided to explore a new server. I was 38 levels in to a reroll when it was pointed out to me that the PvE to PvP server transfer restriction no longer applies.
There are apprently things you can do (ie, delete the character, wait 30 days for the name to expire, restore), but they’re either not convenient or a little sus (get people to mass report you for name change).
Honestly, I’d just rather pay the fee to sort this out.
I think I speak for everyone when I say classic name change option is a no brainer. You guys make money; we get to pay for a service that has no negative repercussions for other players. Paid name changes for ALL classic servers asap please. I really like my rogue but I hate his name. Sometimes I don’t think of a better name until after I make the character…then I play my poorly named character with regret. Boo.
Only if there’s an announcement of characters with names changed so bad actors can’t use it to hide from the community.
I think the whole “bad actor” premise hasn’t really proven out but it doesn’t matter to me. You can slap me with a 6 month debuff that has my previous name on it for all I care.
I just want to sort out a self-created naming conflict

How about a prisoner swap? Name changes for insta bans for gold buying.
