Hunters in classic had a dead zone where at a certain close distance their ranged attacks would no longer work.
This disadvantage was fine in classic because most classes didn’t have a gap closer so hunters had a chance to increase their distance by using certain abilities like, scattershot → feign death → frost trap.
In SoD most classes received gap closers like Paladin divine steed and rogue shadow step.
I think you should seriously consider removing the dead zone for hunters. Allow them to use all their ranged abilities regardless of how close their targets are.
