Please comment on Duck disguise toy

I would really appreciate if Blizzard could comment on the duck disguise toy. I think the colors should be made account wide, or some other method of collecting additional colors needs to be added. However if Blizzard is for some reason still staunchly against this, I wish they’d confirm it. I want to know whether to pick my favorite color or pick strategically to give my account all the colors.

Just make a decision and comment please.

Edit to address something multiple people brought up. Customer Service saying the single color isn’t a bug is not the same thing as addressing the disappointment it caused. The same blue message ENCOURAGED feedback.

They changed the drop rate of the mount after disappointed feedback. (interestingly I didn’t feel it needed to be, I think rare mounts I don’t get are ok, just like I’m ok I dont have the rocket yet, but I’ll keep trying)

Why wouldn’t people bring up another aspect of the event they hope to improve? Obviously there are bigger problems (a weird argument sine you’re allowed to care about multiple things at once) but also this could be a much easier fix than those “bigger problems”.

Didn’t they already answer – Isn’t that how we know it’s not account wide and will take multiple annual events to get the colors?

that was in a bug report, the only answer was “it’s not a bug”
That blue also encouraged people to leave feedback and comments.

I wasn’t expecting it to be an annual thing, I may not have selected a random color had I known that lol.

I disagree. It’s a non issue. You don’t need every color. You got the toy through a pretty easy quest line. Enjoy it. Nothing needs to be changed.

What does this mean? You get one color, pick the one you want. What “Strategy” are you referring to?

One of the complaints with seasonal events is that you do them once, get the rewards and don’t do them again. Recolors for stuff to encourage return participation seems…fine?

Like, they could’ve just hidden the duck appearances and added a new one each year and people would’ve been fine with it.

You really need to get a hobby that isn’t derailing every single thread about this.

I still think a blue should make a statement about their intentions given the amount of feedback.

I’m unsure if it will be an annual thing - the blue post said future events, so it could be trickled out over time.

I don’t mind if they do it this way since it doesn’t seem to impact collections, it’s just an extra.

Do you really think you getting a toy but not getting every color of it requires 12 threads?

This is a non-issue. Move on.

There is no achievement or anything for the other varients. You collected the toy. Great job. Unlocking color varients isn’t collecting anything. There is nothing to collect. It’s a color for a toy, not even a seperate toy. Go collect something else.

Move. On.

All true, but I think many players choose different colors than they otherwise would have assuming that it would be account wide, as nearly every toy is.

I am not saying this is some huge issue. Either in game or real world (obviously)

But these are wow forums and it’s the current holiday and I think it would be better if all the colors were available this season. And I think Blizzard should be open to changing or confirm they wont. And either is ok.

I’m giving feedback on the issue as requested.

You collected the toy.

It is a non issue that blizzard does not have time to acknowledge as it is something nobody should care about.

The only thing that would be “annoying” is switching to a different main and not having the same colours unlocked…but I guess you can repeat the quest on a yearly basis on all your alts just in case.

If they want to string this out over 6 holidays…fine. My bigger complaint is that you would have to do this quest on every toon 6 times over 6 holidays, since it’s not account-wide.
