It would be one bag space. I too was hoping this was like the Dalaran or Garrison stone. With so many restrictions on movemtnt in this expansion, I was hoping for ONE little bit of convenience.

But that would defeat the purpose of leveling up the ‘transport network’ building. You see if you want convienience in a game you have to work really hard for it

A few people seem to be getting confused though.
Just to point out though, a covenant heartstone really makes no sense (as much as it would be amazing) simply because the rank 3 sanctum teleportation upgrade gives as portal between Oribos and your sanctum and a hearthstone that did the same function only better would simply devalue it too much.

ah wow i thought this WAS a hearthstone to our covenant halls. its not? lame. i already have the best hearthstone(christmas dance hearthstone) why would i need another!

Yeahhh. Really thought it was a covenant hearthstone before getting it, gave props to Blizzard and everything and even told people complaining about the travel times that things get a lot better once we’re rank 10 with our covenants.
Turns out I was the idiot for thinking Blizzard would do something reasonable like that. V.V
Just a toy for an animation change to your basic hearthstone.

Its kinda pointless. The bag space doesnt bother me…just ditch the hearthstone I suppose.
Would be nice if it only hearthed back to the covenant HQ.
We got the wrong game director for that.
This expac seems to want to minimise fun and make full use of the skinners box principal… condition player behaviour to accept rewards on a far far longer timeline.
What it amounts to is that if blizzard Delays the rate at which you can gear up or get rewards from content the longevity of that content is increased. In this model “fun”, “convenience”, “quality” is only relevant to maximise the length of time players stay engaged (paying a subscription or buying micro-transactions, not time played or enjoyment).
Its not a new thing but they have never tied the design so visibly and jarringly noticeable to it before.

Hadn’t looked that deep into it. If there is indeed a portal to Oribos at rank 3 then I see your point.
Theyve got me way too many times the last year or so.
Im learning to just assume the worst. That way i cant be disappointed.
I came into SL assuming it was going to be a total trash burning dumpster fire. I had nowhere to go but up, lol.
I think that helped me like it little better than I might have than I did with BFA where I went in thinking it was going to be the best thing since sliced cheese.

I thought that’s how it would work to begin with. Like a new garrison hearthstone.
Especially now that they’ve removed the flight whistle.
I support this change.

ehhh, I like it. been using hearthstone toys instead of the bag one since I got my first one, saves on bagspace and they look better. i’d rather this and have the ability to keep using it even beyond shadowlands, than have it be something only for 1 xpac.
It could still be a toy that didn’t take up bag space, but that hearthed you to your sanctum.

If there are anyone oldschool EQ players here (or even some of us that played pre-Cata), you can remember things like boats that took four hours to show up, long runs to flight paths, paying Mages insane amounts for 'ports…

I was kind of expecting that. Or that we’d have a Flight Whistle. But, it seems they decided that QoL stuff for getting around was not good for the game.
You have your normal hearthstone set to your Covenant’s inn. If you set it to Oribos, it’ll change too
Agree 100%, the current one is just a normal hearthstone? Like, what’s the point?
Dalaran AND Zandalar had their own ports… why do they keep forgetting stuff that is already proven to be great.
