Having to evocate to get your damage buff is poor design. Especially if you have to do it pre-pull and then someone says wait forgot to rune swap. And its even worse during a fight where taking damage or getting kicked ruins the evo. Being forced to wear coreforged gear to prevent this is stupid and it still doesnt prevent getting knocked back.
This is obviously pulled from retail except in retail mages could have the ability to move during evocate. Please give mages changes here or scrap the set bonus all together.
Just make separate sets for fire and frost instead of trying to make one set work for both specs. Feels like the devs are handcuffing themselves.

How is a 8 min CD evo that gives you 60% of your mana in a 8 sec channel now being forced to use at 100% mana before a fight poor design? Luckily a 4pc will reduce it to less than 2 min so you can still be able to use it at 100% mana or lose 8 sec of damage during the fight. The amount of how bad this set bonus is… No words
Meanwhile we have other classes that gets their CD on their ability reduced to 0 after each crit, potentially spamming that ability for infinite instant damage. like WHAT is going on
They take their time to make a tank, dps, heal, melee/range for other classes set bonuses, but for Mage’s different speccs, nah
I mean, mage healer is still sitting here with ZG set being BiS forever. And with the new shoulder enchant slapping T2 6set bonus on top of that, will make pure arcane spec pretty much obsolete. We’re talking spellfrost being at least 2 times as powerful if not more.
T3 heal set will see 0 use, just as AQ set. They’ve been trying to push single-target beacon abilities since T1; it will never work, mass regen is just too strong. There’s nothing that can compete with spending 1 global every 6 seconds to apply 5 beacons at once.
