Elemental spirits is just bad after the change, too bad.
There are a few ways you can improve wolves because they are cool, and provide a constant stream of msw stacks, which is very nice, and the rotation would feel a lot worse without them.
First of all, make the 4% chance to proc msw stacks from bones a baseline thing, just integrate it into the base toolkit
1: The proc rate of flowing could be increased, this would kill bones for good, but it can be argued that enhance doesn’t need wolves as a button as our rotation is already full, and pressing wolves usually comes at the cost of another ability you could have pressed in that gcd.
2: The cdr from bones could be increased, but then storm would press it too many times.
3: This is in my opinion the best option, change elemental spirits into providing secondary stats instead of % damage amplification. 10% of each stat per wolf out. Frost would give mastery, fire crit, storm haste.
This accomplishes 2 things.
One is that all stats scale well for enhance, contrary to getting frost wolves right now which are more than 100% weaker than the best option, getting crit would only be a very minor decrease compared to mastery or haste, closer to 10% at worst, rather than like 300%.
Second, even with 50% uptime this is still very good, which is the goal for a capstone, and storm would essentially have 100% uptime, it’s pretty crazy that elemental spirits are not good even for storm right now, with 100% uptime.
The second best option in my opinion is the first one, but even then the third option could still be applied, there is no law that prevents you from making flowing the only option, but also changing wolves to provide something better that isn’t as divisive as % damage amplifications, and also be quite a lot cooler. At least secondary stats you actually feel, especially haste.
