Please buff Last Emperor's Capacitor

Please I beg! I want this move to be more useful! Thank you.

Might have to move it from being behind Xuen’s Bond too.

i agree! the placement isn’t the greatest either! Lets do something so we can start shooting lightning again!

The talent should also make it castable while moving … and honestly? This should be in the general tree, with a different way of generating stacks for each spec

MW = % of mana spent
BRM = damage taken.
WW = same as now.

It’d be so cool to be in the general tree! id love to do that as brew too

Do you feel either WW or BrM have the downtime to use it? A part of the problem right now is that it would have to be buffed significantly enough for it to not only be usable, but be a higher priority than another ability we currently use.

Right now both WW and BrM are nearly completely GCD locked, so we can’t add a lengthy channel to either spec without losing other things.

Good point. They’d have to bring the damage numbers back to what they were in legion at least.

Thats why I’m begging for a buff!

Jade lightning should be replaced with an actually interesting spell. Another button to the rotation is not the solution.

I would also be fine with deleting this ability when an rework is done

Don’t you dare! I want it to be good! It is an interesting spell! It needs to be like a finisher of sorts do a lot more damage or something cool!

I agree that the other specs should have access to it but not by % mana spent and damage taken.

At least for MW It should be casts of renewing mist as well as every 4 ticks of Soothing Mist.

Non fistweaving MW needs more damage options so they should be able to generate the stacks faster than a fistweaver, but fist weavers should still be able to use this talent too because they desperately need a change of kind in their DPS rotation. As of right now, non fistweavers essentially do 0 damage because they have no options. That’s why capacitor stacks should come from SooM as well because this ability is not used by fistweavers but by soomers

As for damage taken, that will never be balanced, and it would totally be abused if it was actually good damage by tanks to take extra damage for dps and let the healer pump it out since they do more overall damage than healer. It needs to be casts of Purifying Brew or brews in general so that playing the class well and getting brew CDR will make it so you have more Capacitor procs than people who don’t use their brew CDR efficiently

There are several interesting ways they could approach this.

Windwalker:
1)Obviously buff the damage a lot (unrealistic given it’s not good for the game to have these types of nukes)
2)Add a resource component (Generates chi and restores energy) — okay but when monk has excess resources it’s not good because it gets CD locked waiting for your damage abilities to come back up
3)Cooldown Reduction — If each tick reduces the cooldown of WDP/RSK/FoF then we might be in the game. If it does decent damage and resets both RSK / FOF at a full stack channel, that would be good and also interesting

Brewmaster:
1)Again, buffing the damage to a point where it’s better than other GCDs (you can easily channel this during the first AoE stun or put down your ring of peace and stand in it) but we run into the same problem of having individual abilities being too strong
2)Damage Reduction - This is appealing in some ways but not In others, as for content where damage reduction is trivial (outgearing 15s for example) then you want to just maximize dps so this isn’t the perfect option but is kind of cool for hard content to be able to channel it as an offensive ability that also protects you
3)Choice - I think the best option is something along the lines of having it deal decent damage and then causing your next Breath of Fire OR Keg Smash to have a bonus effect. Breath of Fire causes 15% more damage reduction or next Keg Smash deals bonus AoE damage. That way you can choose moment to moment which is the best option for you, giving a flexible offensive or defensive cooldown
