Please buff Feral and Balance, there is no reason for them to be memed on again

Dont you get to run the flag in wsg? Some people just want everything these days.

Druids are the easiest, but multiple classes can with the right tools.

Part of the problem is hybrid gear tiers where designed to heal. So people only think they can heal. Really you don’t bring hybrids for anything but extra heals.

It is possible to make Hybrids more useful without increasing their DPS, and without forcing them to heal. For example, give them some ability that gives a group they’re in a buff, a debuff, or an aura that only gets activated if the hybrid in question is doing his specific role ( as melee DPS ).

So it’s more like an offensive support, vs the more defensive support that hybrids in Vanilla have typically been categorized as.

The argument for tanks is a bit easier since most people don’t tank, so simply by increasing tank variety you will increase the amount of tank thus reducing the amount of time it takes to find a group for instances, leading to a healthier and proportional DPS/Tank ratio.

Im not sure what rational (not-preference related) reasons people have for increasing hybrid variety. As a PvP’r, my concern would be that you’d increase Feral DPS, so they now deal as much damage as Rogues and can also heal… I wouldn’t want that!

As such I don’t believe increasing the amount of damage they do is the solution, but relegating them to some sort of an offensive support role would be fine, if all they just want to be able to do some melee DPS in raids.

This would help too. Prot Paladins would be more useful in their role as a strong AoE tank if there were more things to AoE tank.

Though you would still have to let hybrids actually switch between roles mid-combat. A Ret Paladin trying to toss out heals in full DPS gear is going to run themselves out of mana in a hurry.

I always thought it would have been cool if the forms redistributed your other stats.

for example cat could give you agility equal to 50% of your intellect, or bear could give you bonus stam. Moonkin could transfer 50% of your agi to intellect and 50% of your strength to spirit.

I certainly don’t want it in classic. But still think it would have been a cool route to go down and really made druid gear more about a wide stat distribution (which synergises with their ability to fill every role) rather than a focused one.

I’m sure their are plenty of feral druids that will do great. Tricks and gadgets, etc.

Unless you’re trying to be cutting edge, you don’t need to worry about min maxing your group comps, however if you are worried about it, that’s a personal problem imo

They’re not going to balance any of the classes which is the correct choice. If you obsess over balanced classes you inevitably end up with bland classes with no unique identify.

Something that could help, and this is probably unlikely until they get through all the content phases, if ever, is to add some itemization for these off specs. If gearing for these specs wasn’t such a nightmare they may not feel so useless.

I know right? :stuck_out_tongue:

He has druid guides on the classic pvp discord.

Best vanilla druid as far as I know.

It was not until Classic was over did hybrid specs get love. As a Druid, you will not raid as a Boomkin, Feral or Bear. You will be specc’d to heal, throw hots and be used as a bot to innervate the Priests in a raid environment “And you will like it” (or you find yourself standing outside the raid entrance).

Class balance will be as it was in Vanilla. However, class knowledge is vastly superior to what was known in Vanilla. For non-resto druida you either endure the ignorant people and find q guild that sees your potential or you switch classes.
I won’t speak on balance, but feral is fine. We are most versatile hybrid in Classic. You will have to put forth the effort of going above and beyond by going beyond going above and beyond.

You won’t see 5 ferals in a raid. You’ll see 1-2 and those are your shots as a feral. Research. Research. Research. Ferals who fail to learn all the in’s and out’s won’t last in raiding. Be open to switching role on any fight. And be ready for every raid and on time.

Don’t worry about buffs. They are not coming.

The fact is the game is not going to be the same as it was in vanilla and because of that they’re going to have to make balance changes no matter what it’s just a fact. I’m a Druid main since vanilla well since beta even

The issue is it takes a min/maxers to make druid DPS work. They’re going to be a try hard in a casual guild.

Buff Feral, Balance, Ret, Prot, Enhance and Elemental. Hybrids unite, down with the purists!

Classic will be 10x more elitist.

Your posted example video is world pvp…

Any class or spec can perform in world pvp. PvE is where performance matters.

Play BFA if you want to be the same as every class / spec in the game.

Imagine bumping your thread with your alts weeks after it died down.

Most top end raiding guilds will take a feral. (Tank) Not sure where you got that information. Balance, however…yikes
