I mean, it wouldn’t really bother me due to Legion Artifact transmogs, but wands always makes me think of fairies instead of wizards. That or wizards-lite cough Harry Potter cough
Wand spec was the best. Can shoot when you’re silenced, can kill totems with it, can save mana with it (back when mana meant something), no spell push back on wanding and you can use a different school of damage from your class kit.
Ironically they seem to have removed them in the name of homogenisation of weapons so they are more accessible to multiple classes, but then they leave glaives as the obvious elephant in the room.
I’m actually with this guy, I hate wands mechanically speaking. They’re annoying to transmog and they have the capability to mess up cast times if someone’s using their mouse for the sake of targeting, so on.
I hate wands. I remember they used to shoot, and that was annoying. And they were ridiculous to transmog. I remember they were like the only thing that didnt qualify for Legion Artifacts, because they shot out stuff or something. I dont know if they changed that.
I was about to create another topic on this until I saw yours. Good lord, please Blizzard, just make the game feel real again. I mean, why do you think the older expansions are so popular with WoTLK coming soon? Just bring back cool weapons and things to learn again. Hecking boring otherwise.
Yes please! I love wands and it just disappoints me to no end that my mage hardly ever has been able to use them.
Funny story…my husband was making his first priest and he mostly just used his wand to kill things. lol
I felt like they added some spice to the caster’s repertoire. It was nice having something other than spells to use, especially when mana saving was an issue. Plus, the idea of more weapons to use is always exciting.
Be nice if they did something like that for casters when a throw spell. You don’t have to hit something that takes mana to do all those things. Would make explosives week fun for casters too.
