Some people like collecting cosmetics. Personally, I care more about cosmetics than my character’s power. It is hurtful is hurtful, meaning “detrimental,” to new players who want it that they can’t even work for it.

No that’s not relative privation. I’m saying that bringing it back would cause more good than bad. If I get the Awakened Minborer mount (close to it btw), and it’s brought back years later, I think I would personally be sad that I had to rush to get it, but I would still be fine if other players can work to get it.

No that’s not what I said. I think not being able to get something at all is more hurtful than wasting your time if it’s available later. Again, I do feel for them, but if Blizzard didn’t make them time-limited in the first place, they wouldn’t have had to.

Im someone that got several different Artifact weapons from the Mage Tower (Full Mage, Full Hunter, Full Druid and Blood DK).
I’m all up for bringing up the mage tower artifact skins.
BUT it shouldn’t be easy: Add them as rewards for something difficult, like obtaining Keystone Master (All M+ on 15 on time) for example.
Better yet would be to add the Mage Tower challenges (And maybe the Challenge modes of Pandaria and Warlords) as a ‘‘Timewalking’’ Event once or twice per year (your equipment scales down), lasting one week? It could also work as an event for the anniversary (kind of how they brought back OG AV?)

Nah, most people are like “ No! You missed out, too bad”. I wouldn’t mind if they comeback. Didn’t play every class in Legion so would be nice. The ones I already got bring me no prestige cause I unlocked em in 7.3 when it was a lot easier so I don’t get why people are so at arms about it.

No. What is happening is none of us want them to return because they were a limited time thing. Like the challenge mode sets. Or the legendary ring WoD. Or the legendary cape from MoP.
We worked hard to get them when they were current. I worked my rear off to get the hunter, rogue, druid, and death knight mage tower appearances. They don’t need to come back because the game is different. The time spent re-working the mage tower challenges can be better spent on other aspects of the game, such as PvP or M+ rather than reviving old content because you want apperance that was advertised as LIMITED TIME from the get-go.

People have only gotten to this point because of the guy repeatedly plugging his ears going “lalalalalala notfairnotfairnotfair lalalalala”. I mean. Quite literally, any you didn’t get, you missed out, because Blizzard said they were gonna be unobtainable after a certain point. I got several, but not all the ones I wanted. I even got a few when it was still actually hard, before the release of Antorus. There are definitely a few I wish I could have gotten. But it’s Blizzard’s game and they said they’re exclusive and any you don’t get in time, too bad. I accept that.

But why? Harms no one if Blizzard goes back on it. It’s a popular thing, not because was a limited time thing, it’s because the models are actually nice. People keep holding on to this “BUT BLIZZARD SAID iT WAS A LIMITED TIME THING” So? Does it really hurt your little “special” bubble that much?

Mage tower appearances should never be obtainable again. Getting them back in legion was really challenging and fun! And that made the reward feel prestigious. I’m not sure why this topic pops up every week or so, the concept of challenging content no longer giving its cosmetic reward after it becomes trivial seems obvious to me, it was my main motivation for doing the challenge modes in legion.
I feel the same way about my green fire quest title back in Mists, I don’t see people asking for that to be obtainable again

Because it creates a conundrum for them. When a company makes such statements, and puts it in writing, and then they go back on it, it can cause problems. Just because it’s fictional stuff in a video game doesn’t mean they can’t be held accountable for it.

I’m sure Blizzard has lost the trust of most players by now, what gives?
I’m not talking about just players. Companies that put things in writing and then don’t honor what was put in writing can be held legally responsible. Things like the horde and alliance motorcycle mounts for example. The alliance one is obtainable via gold even though horde won. But it was put into writing that the horde one would only be available (for free) for a certain period of time and now you can’t get it at all if you don’t already have it. If they suddenly made it available for purchase, then that’s them voiding their written obligation and opening themselves up to potential legal troubles.
