Pack was removed because of the griefing nature of the daze on it, but if you just remove the daze mechanic, it would be a great and beneficial ability in groups. Especially if you compare it against Aspect of the Hawk, where the Hunter needs to sacrifice dps to give the whole group increased movement speed. It would be an excellent support mechanic for hunters to have in movement-heavy fights.
Hunter right now has so many buffs and cooldowns to keep track of. I have 5 max level toons so far, and my BM hunter, by far, uses the most buttons. It would be much simpler and more pleasing to use the Aspect bar again. Some Aspect ideas:
Aspect of the Hawk: flat damage buff
Aspect of the Cobra (Survival only): dot buff
Aspect of the Falcon (Marksman only): stacking damage buff for focusing one target
Aspect of the Raptor (Beast Master only): Increased damage against targets not targeting you (ie. pet has aggro)
Aspect of the Turtle: damage mitigation and increased healing to you and pet.
Aspect of the Owl: Increased focus generation
Aspect of the Cheetah: +30% move speed for you and pet(s)
Aspect of the Pack: +25% move speed to all party members

its good as it is…
I’m just kidding i’ve no idea what you’re on about but take the bump
That’s something classic Andy’s find fun.
Retail WoW players enjoying playing their spec for themselves. It would not feel good sacrificing your DPS to give other players movement speed. The movement speed would become mandatory.
Oh, it’s a troll post. Nevermind.
Depends on the player. If I know I’m the reason my raid didn’t wipe, I’m feeling pretty damn good. Also, Pack doesn’t stack, so only one hunter would need to use it at that moment to help the group have the movement they need.
Aspect of the Turtle
Survival Instincts
Feign Death

That’s FIVE defensive cooldowns! That’s not counting Freezing Trap, Frost Trap, Flare (in PvP), and Misdirection uptime. Then I’m managing Bestial Wrath and Aspect of the Wild, which I need to try to line up even though they have completely different CD mechanics. Next, I’m managing Frenzy on my pet so it never drops, Barbed Shot charges, Focus which constantly threatens to overcap, and keeping up Dance of Death buffs on myself.
By comparison, my Frost Mage uses a damage CD macro, casts Frostbolt, and then mostly just presses whichever button happens to be shiny at that moment.
Fury Warrior requires counting to 3. Ret Paladin is a simple build, build, spend rotation with a bunch of super-powerful CD’s that only need to be considered in extreme situations.
If you think BM hunter is complex I respect that. I’m going to laugh at you, but I respect that.
I deeply miss the importance of aspects. I remember when it actually mattered which aspect you chose. Now we have a few mundane ones with insane cool downs and very little benefit.
If you do the math on Aspect of the Cheetah, the overall speed increase is laughable.

It is. Sometimes I forget it exists because it does so little.
