This seem like a great tool for professions.

Does it work for other professions in addition to enchanting?

What’s the addon called?

Yea this is what we need… every person in trade msging us at the same time and trying to invite

Please have auto invite addons auto disable or something when the player goes AFK

This is part of that automation I was referring to
People can just go afk, browse the internet, youtube, etc… and when their screen flashes from the trigger… o here we go free gold.
This puts people without it at a disadvantage, same as botting

competition aside, it is just annoying getting auto invited by someone who is afk. i get into their party and they aren’t responding. addon should not work if the player has an afk flag on them

No, just enchanting. Other professions have a better tool, its called the AH

Yah, I make sure that mine is off when I have to go afk … but due to the number of times I get asked “are you afk” I know others are not nearly as careful. ./sigh

This is actually wrong. It only flashes your screen or makes sound IF wow is the window in focus.

This is why I know you’re just a troll and have 0 idea what you’re actually talking about. WoW flashes, on its own, when you receive a msg, get an invite, get in combat, etc… Has nothing to do with the addon
And if you think this isnt already or will be applied to other professions if allowed to continue, you’re an even bigger fool

wow flashes when YOU get an invite or YOU get a message … not when you SEND an invite or SEND a message. Test it if you like.

I agree with him. I may or may not necessarily agree with it as a practice but he is evidently well-versed in the rules and has made a compelling argument in favour.

“I agree with him”

These are quite opposed. Also, his examples have been quite inaccurate. the ToS link for instance… he tried to act like the example they gave was the only instance that would be enacted.
For the 1000th time, we all know what automation is allowed and isnt, is up to blizzard. In the rules it says automation not explicitly approved is not allowed, period. From there, it’s about enforcement.
This post was to focus that enforcement on this.
It is automation that puts people without it at a disadvantage. Convenience or not.
