I’m kinda cynical right now about the con and I really don’t want to be.
I want it to be great, but I fear the worst and I’m afraid if this con bombs as bad as the last one did… it’s gonna be a major proverbial strike added to the many negative memes against Actilizzard.
Not thst my concerns matter, or will even be read by the Slenderman suites on high, but for the sake of WoW . Show some humility and announce good things for the players and the game.
The thing is, outside of Diablo Immortal, last year didn’t bomb as bad as people think. I was there; the panels were jam packed, everyone had a great time even if there wasn’t much to reveal. It was a solid experience that is only later remembered as being “bad.”
Im pretty sure Blizzard is going to come out swinging this blizzcon. From what happend last year, they got some ground to cover. If Blizzard drops the ball again… then they got some straight pepega’s running the company.
I have it on good authority that this year’s Blizzcon is gonna be pretty amazing. Even if it isn’t, though, I won’t mind so much. I’m going to see my guildies, and I love those guys to death, so whatever happens with the con itself, at least I’ll have fun with friends.
I really enjoyed last years. I know they had the whole last minute issue with Diablo, but that didn’t take away from my enjoyment of it. I really loved all of the talk of Nazjatar and Mechagon. I didn’t resub until I could play 8.2 tbh.
I really loved the WC3 announcement and hope we can play it soon, and I liked the panels. I think I watched all of them except Starcraft, cause I’m not really into that (I tried lol)
Your right to be cynical since I expect nothing to come out of Blizzcon but disappointment and stolen data from the app they’ll force you to download just to enter the con.
That still seems pretty vague to me. I guess I was more looking for your opinion on specifics that you aren’t happy with. But if you’re not in the mood to write that all out, I totally understand.
Activision Blizzard stock is up almost 10% since then. Also he valued it $12 under current market price when others have valued it $10 over current… Activisions new CoD is currently predicted to be the #1 game of the holiday season.
Actually we like ‘good’ stories. The problem is, that’s not what we’ve been getting. Recycled plots, cliché ridden drivel, and just plain unrealistic nonsense seems to be where Activision wants to take the story as they strive to figure out how to harvest more $$$ from their payer-base (not misspelled).
I was at last years Blizzon, it was amazing. Just because a few people spammed the wow forum and reddit and made a dumb meme doesn’t mean it wasn’t an amazing convention. I can’t wait to see what new stuff they are bringing to the table with this Blizzcon!
I am super hyped and look forward to seeing what these guys have in store for us next. Blizzard, across all IP’s, never fails to deliver. They always keep me on my toes!
I can agree with this. I am getting a little fed up with Blizzard writers trying to make this story that involves dragons, witches, magic, warlocks, zombies, werewolves, Elves, Orcs, and Trolls so unrealistic. They need to get back to a more realistic story. So sick of this fake stuff.
