Folks, I’ve never posted on the forums before. I’ve been playing since 2007 and this is the most egregious and over on the line nerfs I’ve ever seen for a class i’ve played in all these years. I am genuinely depressed about playing the game now and thinking about how much less damage I’ll be doing, based on the lovely people theorycrafting over in the Shaman discord (Shout out Hawk Corrigan), has been sick to my stomach to be honest. I love this game and playing ele this expansion has been hands down the most fun I’ve ever had playing wow from a class design perspective. I’ve been timing keys higher than any season i’ve played before, I’ve been parsing higher and more consistenly in raids than I ever had before. I feel like I finally found my favorite class and spec and now they’re throwing that all away with these insane nerfs.
I’d be completely fine if we went back to how we were performing in 11.0 but these nerfs are going to bring us below what we were doing before! That is completely demoralizing and it’s really upsetting.
Obviously we needed a solid nerf in ST (honestly only because of the Ascendance bug, fix that and we would be fine) and also in AoE (specifically for the busted EoGS build). But these are far too steep of buffs and honestly misplaced. They should fix the bugs and continue with minute adjustments instead of slashing away at almost everything.
Please Blizzard, revert some of these changes, make them less severe. You already have me spend like 100k gold on recrafting everything and now I’m going to have to do it again within such an insanely short amount of time. This rollercoaster you’re putting Ele on is giving me whiplash.
