At this point it doesn’t make any sense to keep the patch and try to fix all the bugs (especially the serious ones that crash the game).
Simply rollback the patch, put it back on the test servers and this time LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY WHEN THEY REPORT BUGS ON THE BETA!
good idea but it will never happen too many kids are taught not to expect what they paid for just take what you get and bliz seems to be based on that the wow we know died years ago this is a cheap nin working rip off
When just the pre-patch causes that much trouble already, I don’t wanna know what will happen when the actual expansion finally comes.
I don’t recall them ever reverting anything. I doubt they would have done the preparation for such a contingency.
I have a feeling we’ll see quite a few things fixed Tuesday since there is a long maintenance again.
I wonder though why some people are having so many patch issues and some of us are not maybe that is why its taking time to fix since its sporadic,
For EU the maintenance is just the typical 1 hour. But perhaps they’ll adjust the time.
100% with you
all the patch did is brake everything and make stuff look and act worse then before
I’d love that- but it will never happen lol.
I don’t think Blizz has ever rolled back a patch in the history of the game.
While I agree with you, this ship has sailed.
They had the opportunity to revert the patch the day of the patch. They should have reverted during the maintenance time span when they first identified things just wouldn’t work as advertised at all.
The moment it went live, and players were able to play, even in this broken state, it was too late. As how would you account for what a player did in the time span of Patch going live, and the time you wished to revert. As they would have to revert to backups of player data prior to the patch hitting the servers due to the massive file changes that occurred.
They aren’t going to have anything fixed by Tuesday. They can’t even give us basic updates from anyone who’s authorized to speak as to “what they’re actually doing.” BUT WHAT WE DO KNOW KIDS, They spent oh so much time and effort on…“fixing the size of a sword” and telling us, oh the talents are expected for PP, but then nerf classes and tier sets cause…well its Pre-Patch…but no actual improvement on anything that’s actually broken.
There’s no way they’ll be able to fix ALL of the issues and bugs in just one maintenance.
The whole game now is a broken, buggy mess, not just the new content but the ENTIRETY OF THE GAME.
Just roll it back like the OP said and don’t rush it! Only release it when it’s properly ready (not this broken buggy mess)
This a 100 times. ^
The expansion should be delayed months at this point to actually make the game playable. I don’t even want to know how bad its gonna be when we hit early access. BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! Early access…well you guys can log in…but we never promised that it would work so…jokes on you idiots for pre-buying!
This. Like I put in a CS ticket about the reputation issues in Remix that is a common issue that has not been added to the list of current patch problems. I got an automated response back from the GM about addons and disabling addons… even though I dont have addons enabled at the moment, and addons are not causing the broken reputation issues in Remix. It’s so frustrating. EU servers actually gets updates and information from their CS and Community Managers… And the US… does not.
theres so many achiements bugs and even WQ’s that are broken now. This is really bad. Even some WQ are buged and not spawning the correct things. This has nothing to do with any addon
I have the 3 days early access and im really thinking of not playing it for 2 weeks after. Ill just get super frustrated over all the bugs
All we are getting here in the EU are generic answers like “we are aware…” “we are working on…” which is as valuable as not answering at all considering that customer support in the EU has no idea of what’s going on at Blizzard. Sometimes I wonder if they even work at Blizzard or are just random call center workers.
Honestly I would rather that than blatantly ignoring the community and then providing vague automated responses that are unrelated to the issue.
Lol- im still waiting for them to fix shadowlands choose your covenant quest. Every alt ive tried to take through SL gets stuck and cant complete the covenant choice because chromie time makes you level to fast and it bugs out lololol. Literally wasted hundreds of hours trying to replay SL for transmog stuff and cant even get to korthia or the return to laerderon mission any more lol
Man, if only there was a place where major changes could be tested in a safe environment before impacting the live game…
I know it won’t do any good, but agreeing with OP and signing this petition.
I personally stopped playing after patch due to issues and considering cancelling subscriptions too, so a roll back wouldn’t hurt me at all. I realize I’m not the only one playing though and others would be more affected by a rollback.
And for those saying they have never rolled anything back, that is not entirely accurate. I was here for original WoW go-live and they had a few roll backs then. Those were typically same day issues though and not 5 days later like this would be so most likely not going to happen this time.
