Bumping this cause blizzard has lizard brain and should just copy pservers. They stole your content and improved it, now steal their ideas back. At that point its just fair play, Cataclysm private servers allowed u to change racials… something blizz considered and moved on from, why? Race change to profitable. Why make good game when you can try to bank off a few select consumers.

I’ve played a flavor of Vanilla since Spring 2023 (thanks Ulduar!), and have been enjoying SoD. I dabbled in Hardcore, and still have a lvl 28 Warlock sitting on DP.
So, I’ve played:
- 1 Classic Era toon levelled to 60, 1 boosted to 60
- 2 SoD toons levelled to 60
- 1 HC toon to lvl 28
I’ve played Vanilla or a flavor of it quite a bit. If we get a fresh Vanilla server, I think I’d only play if I know its going to progress to TBC.
It’s time to go back!

Another vote for this. I don’t understand why it’s not already a thing. I missed out on endgame for TBC both times, and would love to see what it’s like. One server for each expansion, why is that so hard?

TBC fresh 1-70 with no transfers from sod or era would be the best way to go about this. Alternatively, a progression server style, Vanilla—>TBC—>WOTLK, on a 1-3 cycle would also work. Absolutely no transfers though - it would ruin the experience and the economy from the start.
Regardless, the community would be extremely excited to just have a way to play TBC. For many of us it is our favorite version of classic. There should have been era servers established, but here we are. Blizzard is in a position to have an easy & low maintenance way to gain and retain subscriptions.
This is coming from someone who has two bis characters in ERA on whitemane - it’s fun but era needs a fresh.
Is a GM in SOD and am finding myself more and more disappointed with the experience.
Cata and Retail are not my jam.
I am hoping for another stab at tbc. Let’s go blizz you got this.

I tried retail and still messing around there but mostly just farming a bit of gold for tokens now. It does not hold my interest for raiding like TBC did. I enjoyed BT, Hyjal and Sunwell even though we only got 5/6 on Sunwell before they nerfed it. It might be fun if they release TBC with no nerfs…no nerf Vashj would be quite difficult.

I also want a TBC era server really badly.
It was a nice mix of new and classic.
TBC was the perfect middle ground.
They have never made a better expansion than TBC.
It literally wouldn’t even be hard for them to do. They already said in prior blizzcon that they could absolutely open an era for TBC. There is little to no maintenance that needs to be done. Just open 1 or 2 fresh realms for it, make it an era server, and dont touch it. They have the data on it. They can absolutely do it with little impact on anything else.

Hey all!! Just comin’ in here to say we did it! I’m not sure if just us alone did it but each and every one of our voices I’m sure was heard and helped with the movement of getting our beloved TBC servers. With the re-release of vanilla and the upcoming TBC Classic release, lets keep our fingers crossed we get fresh Era servers for Vanilla, TBC Era THIS TIME, and the release of Wrath of the Lich King again with it’s own Era server as well. Who knows we may also get the 3 versions recycled to a fresh state every “X” amount of years and then have your characters overflow into the already existing Era servers which I believe would be nice if people are wanting that fresh feeling. All in all, I salute everyone in here who took the time out of your’ day to comment and put your’ thoughts onto the forum in working towards the versions of World of Warcraft we all know and love. See you on the other side of the Dark Portal…

Yes but they need to promise us we aren’t wasting our time. I don’t want to go through it all again only to be forced into Wrath.
Also when they do that, it really ruins Sunwell because everyone knows the game is going away soon.
It absolutely needs to be TBC Era this time.

Just to try and drag us along through Vanilla content without letting us know if TBC would stop or give a chance to remain in TBC indefin…
Im glad someone brought this post back, I remember it vividly and the community stood behind it in a great way…
yet here we are… trying to beat off the naysayers calling TBC Server Players as a niche or a passing fad…

Cool hot take of an opinion, when you’re quite literally outnumbered on the forums with people saying they wanted TBC and not another year of classic just to get to TBC.

I donno who need to see this at Blizzard but we just want TBC servers NEXT WEEK! not vanilla which we’ve had for years AGAIN! (you can have fresh vanilla idc, I just want fresh TBC servers, only TBC)
