A pixel bot is a bot that instead of getting game info from memory-reading, will read info from pixels on the screen. Those pixels can be native WOW pixels (e.g. health bars) or an addon-made bar. Using native pixels is easier, but using an addon allows us to access more complete data

However, I think this is just a fancy way of the OP saying “ban add ons” or something.

its just bad for the game cheating is cheating
It’s an oddly specific instance of cheating… why is a “pixelbot” (which I’ve never heard of until now) any more or less problematic than literally every other bot in existence, and how on earth do you propose to stop them?

I don’t think pixelbots are an issue in wow considering regular memory injecting bots work and Blizzard doesn’t care enough to deal with them anyway.
Pixel bots make sense in games with more serious rule enforcement or in games that use good anti cheats that read memory etc, since in these cases it’s harder to detect.
In the end regular bots do more things but are easier to detect and pixel bots are harder to detect because they more or less emulate a person using kb and mouse, but are more limited and only make sense in games in which regular cheats cannot be used at all, which isn’t the case with wow.

It’s a kind of cheat that instead of injecting into the game to perform actions it reads the screen and pretty much emulates a person using keyboard and mouse to do things, it’s more limited but harder to detect because nothing is being changed in the game client. They are often used in games that have stronger anti cheats.
I remember when Tibia (another MMO i played) was being plagued by bots and eventually the company added the anticheat BattlEye to the game, making it impossible for people to use regular bots do that’s when these pixel bots began appearing over there and apparently even BattlEye couldn’t detect them.

Their leniency with streamers exploiting this expansion doesn’t give me any good feelings about them doing anything about bots.
