Any add-on that allows players to stalk another player’s account and harass them like Raider IO does, should be banned.
I understand a lot of people like Raider IO when it comes to forming groups or guilds, so please Blizz make a version of this officially that doesn’t allow for stalking.
I was in a TW dungeon, as the healer. The group had too much in a pull for me to heal, and we died. I apologized, and said I was even learning the class.
The instance chat then had individuals saying I’m just trash and to kick me, because my main hasnt healed higher then Normal Raid.
And I was then whispered on 3 different toons about it after the dungeon.
This isnt my first experience with this, and its concerning that so many MMOs now are getting Stalking add-ons that aren’t being officially banned.
nevermind the RIO is now baked in blizzard LFG system…
you really think bad player will stop being called bad if we remove RIO? hint, before RIO when we had wowprogress you still got harassed, and before wowprogress when you had gearscore samething, and before gearscore when people would inspect you same thing.
True or not the best advice I can give you OP is to shut off sharing of game data in your bnet options, make a RIO account so you can private your information there, and then work at shrugging off that kind of treatment if you see it again.
People digging through your toons over a wipe in a TW dungeon have bigger problems than you do.
You clearly don’t understand how addons, blizzard APIs and the internet work.
It’s a site. The can’t ban it. They can’t ban any addon either. They can only remove the APIs that allow such addons to work, which would break the whole ecosystem so they’ll never do it.
