Yeah, it is agains the rules if itâs done by automation with 3rd party programs.
There is a lot of debate on whether this is true. We can speculate all day.
You can sense the desperation in how many alts the multiboxers are throwing into the pile. Deep down, they know that the average player is waking up to how much of a menace they are.
Getting real close to the sort of fever pitch that blizzard might decide is enough to act. Can you imagine how blasted theyâll be, if they lose their unfair advantage right before shadowlands drops?

Blizzard recently banned 75000 bots.
I can say with almost certainty that there arenât 75000 multiboxers out there.

same here. Boxers dont affect me in the least and Im farming over the entire game on multiple characters all day long.
One would have to be inept to not be able to make 100k gold a day in this game just by breathing.

The argument that itâs for the money is lame. The minuscule amount of money brought in by them is not statistically significant. Weâre talking four extra accounts here or there. Occasionally someone with nine, 19 or 39 extra accounts. The numbers are still insignificant. All the servers would have to be overrun with multi-boxers for the money to mean anything.
The argument that the key-clone software allows automation is a non-starter as well. Keyboard and mouse software allows it too. Just because it allows it doesnât mean you have to use it. If you ban key-clone software then you would have to ban that software too.
Which one is my alt? The alt argument is a stawman.
Hasnât happened in over 15 years. I wouldnât hold my breath.
What advantage? Other players far outnumber multi-boxers.

That the argument of blizzard keeping multiboxers for the money makes no sense. They will ban bots thousands of them.
Blizzard knows who multiboxs, we get reported daily for botting. And those reports are preventing blizz from having to clear false negatives all the time because people donât know the difference between multiboxing and botting.

Just another solid reason that blizzard should get rid of it.
Itâs almost impossible to identify a pack of moonkin bots at a standstill farm, versus a multiboxer at a standstill farm.
You have three possible solutions at that point.
Status quo, where they wade through reports.
Make multiboxing either impossible to do via banning key broadcasting, or against the rules. All reports are now valid reports.
Make all forms of 3rd party software allowed. No rules, just a race to the bottom of getting unfair advantages from 3rd party software.
That is fixing the wrong problem. Hyperspawn, as a multiboxer I am against âAFK FARMâ. Itâs wayyy too close to the exploit line.
Thing is blizz programmed the spawn this way, when thereâs an influx of player, more mobs will spawn rapidly.
They should break âAFK FARMSââŚ
Edit: I want to add that Gold farmers have started multiboxing more and more because of AFK farms are more lucrative. Those AH goblins Gold pimps that sit on gold cap, have bought many many accounts just to make even more gold.
Not all multiboxer farm gold. but most gold farmer multibox.
I have a neurological issue that makes my fingers twitch a little from this disorder I have and yeahâŚit can be annoying at times when its acting up. The mouse button is just sensitive enough that if Im moving over to button Y Ive got to be careful along the way or the finger twitch will make me click something halfway there lol.
Some days I have to hover my fingers over the mouse buttons when its bad enough

I really hope not on this one. I played another MMO where 3rd party software isnât necessarily âallowedâ but the company will never do anything to anyone using it. That being said, that game is to the point where if you do not use all the common 3rd party addons, youâll never progress since those who do progress only want others who do the same.
