The removal of /spit was a great start blizzard. That toxic emote has promoted elitism and hate since the launch of the game.
However, me and many others feel there is a second seemly innocent emote that needs to be adressed. /lol is often used to single out people. Making them the target for abuse and pile on insults. Ive seen way to many good, innocent people quit this game over being the target of /lol. Can you imagine laughing in someones face in person? Thanks.

1st Amendment bruh, I am offend
I agree a bunch of percent! I would also like to see /point removed as it specifically puts lots of stress and pressure on a person and singles them out and stuff. It hurts my feelings when people /point and /laugh at me!

There is no first amendment protection with private companies
Rename it World of Wallcraft and turn it into a house painting simulator.

Or they could change the emote from ālaughs atā to ālaughs withā. Big difference.

āweāre not laughing at you⦠Weāre laughing with you

you have to be joking, /lol.
God I hope you are.
If notā¦I think paring as much as some want is just going to drive more paying customers away over infantile changes to stuff we can all just ignore anyway.
And you DO know they dont need the emote to insult you anyway, correct?

funny you bring this up.
/lol is going to sting more than /spit against $$$ mounts, spitting is disrespectful and hostile, laughter in the same situation is true mockery.

precisely why the White House is now admitting to telling Fascist Book what posts they want removed/censored.
The government is prohibited from doing itā¦but nothing in the law says FB cant. lol

so when the troll dude laughs at us for dying, i guess we all need a binky enough to have that removed too.
At a point the personality will be stripped of this gameā¦and if I want to play a game with no personality Iāll just go play ESO where at least its mechanically better, crafting is light years ahead of WoW and I dont have to pay for mogging every time I get a new piece of gear.

what I find hysterical is blizzard pushing THEIR bad behavior off onto the game, lmao.
And weāll all buy right into it lol.
THEY are the ones who cant control themselves. IF the game needs changedā¦do itā¦but dont sit there trying to pretend that its the GAME that is or has been the offense here.
seems more like theyre trying to distract than anything else.

/laugh bothers me more than /spit
Imagine getting your ore stolen by a gnome, and then /laugh as extra
If anything, /spit is used by upset people. The ones doing the bullying will do /laugh.
So this is all about the store mount thing. They donāt want people to be discouraged from buying the mount, nothing else.
Rah, these are all joke threads because on the PTR they removed the /spit emote. Apparently you can still use it but canāt if you target someone. Also, I think that person was trying to say if the /lol emote was removed it would sting more than the /spit one being removed. (Sorry if I misunderstood your statement.)

I was reading something about that earlier I believe.
I agree they need to deal with their company problems.
But we all know how this goes with this cancel culture mentality.
They get one āwinā and then the avalanche of childish, demented demands begins.
Anyone heard much about pale Band Aids or plastic straws lately? lol.
This is what they doā¦parasite from one ācauseā to the next feeding off a host issue till its bled dry for dramatic effect, then off to the next.
Bliz needs to fix THEMSELVES. THEY harassed women. Not the game.
No sweat on that. I cant figure out half of what gets posted in here myself, most days, lol.
