On Fresh you are restricted from making a Horde and Ally toon on the same account/server. This isn’t an issue on Era because the servers are clustered. So you can make an Ally on server A, a Horde on server B, and still play on the same cluster. Switching to mega servers removed this. It’s kind of rough for those of us with friends on both factions.
A second account gets around this a bit, but it’s very inconvenient to lock an account into one faction just because the servers have gone from clusters to single mega servers.
PvP servers have always and will always have this restriction up until wotlk when faction change is added to the game.
Wow classic is the only version of the game where factions matter, and on pvp servers especially.
Being able to log out and check who is pvping and camping what zones and tracking them is so absurd.
It’s blocked for a reason.
Pay for a 2nd account if you care that much.
Other than that stop trying to change the game.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I understand why faction restrictions exist in the first place but since there’s only 1 NA pvp server to choose from the restriction doesn’t make sense anymore imo.
But there was always more than 1 pvp server to play on. I don’t think we should be able to have a character of both factions on the same pvp server but this shows another issue with having these mega servers.
Its a 12 month server… its not humanly possible to have enough time to play both factions seriously.
play the one you want and call it a day.
What are you talking about? I already know plenty of people with multiple 60s
I mean I have two… but I leveled them together …and it REALLY helps to be the same faction/ server to share resources.
Kinda doubt you know “plenty” with multiple 60s btw lol
