So I just returned to the game and accidentally deleted my main character as I was deleting the 50 level 1’s loitering around in my character select (can’t recover them either because the expansion just launched lololol), but I had a 60 boost so I decided to use that and hop into Dragonflight.
After doing a few intro quests, the flying races interested me, so I golded all of those in the first area and hit level 70. This was a big mistake, because all of my gear is still 60 so mobs that I used to 3 shot now take like 15 hits to kill.
I decided to hop into the newest expansion to get some quick gear upgrades, but it takes me literally like 1 minute to kill a single mob over there.
I thought I might buy some gear on the AH, but all the gear listed at level 70 is actually level 80 gear! Wow! Bye bye 3K gold!
Does anyone know where I can score some good level 70ish gear quickly without having to hit anything?

Ok, so first, you can restore deleted characters. On the bottom right of your login/character screen there is a circle-arrow icon. That will allow you to restore a character …

except that it is disabled at the moment. At least, when I went to check, there is a note saying they’re working on it. 
Well, when they get done working on it, at least you can restore your main.
So that’s that.
Dreamsurges are a good option. You can eventually gather lots of Dreamsurge Coalescence just by flying around through the green balls, and 100 of those buys you a piece of gear. Will take a while tho.
I’d keep an eye on the AH. Something useful might come up cheap. I know the catch where the minimum level for a generic piece of gear is 70, but the ones actually on sale are level 80, and you don’t see it until you click through. Very annoying. But some of them may actually be level 70 gear, and you can always start looking from level 68.
If you can start the Dragonflight campaign - and I’m not quite sure how you can do that at 71, depending on where you are in the quest lines - and if you can kill anything in those, it might give you gear pretty quickly, since those quests are intended to gear people for Dragonflight pretty fast.
If you’re still stuck for gear, post again. I’m sure there must be other options we can think of!

Yeah, I could probably get my character back when they re-enable the restoration service, but it really doesn’t bother me. I just boosted the same class up anyway.
I’ll be okay, I’m slowly making my way through Dragonflight while doing the Dreamsurge stuff on the side. The War Within is impossible right now, but I wanted some stuff in Dragonflight anyway, so it’s all good.
I could see someone getting soft-locked from this though. If you enter Dragonflight at level 10 and gold all the races across the various zones, I’m assuming that’s like 20-30 levels? Maybe more? Without getting any gear during that time, you won’t be able to kill anything haha.
