Im not a fan of mechanics that are gambles like loot boxes which are what these mage scrolls are by definition. please at the very least make the conversions rates higher for the crit/hit/Mp5 as these are what we are cycling through a bunch of gold for and sometimes getting 0 after spending 10g for a inventory full of crap

It is very annoying. The most annoying thing is, I get a scroll right? Scroll: CHAP BALK WELLES. Ok, I use a comprehension charm to understand the language. That part makes sense. An hour later, I get another scroll. Scroll: CHAP BALK WELLES. I need to use another comprehension charm to understand it again? Does my toon suffer from short-term memory? Did that gnoll bonk me on the head a little too hard? If it did, should this not reset my talents?
It would be nice if future scrolls of the same name that I receive I would just understand how to read them.
Mage scrolls are an atrociously designed system, game would be much better if the whole scroll system got axed
Mage scrolls are the worst part of the new mage stuff in SoD.
Drop rate for them is entirely too low. I leveled my mage to 40 and got less than five scroll drops on my own.
They are expensive on the AH. The absolute cheapest I have seen them is for about 15s, and it was only a handful over 15 levels. More commonly they are priced 20-50s, sometimes over a gold. This is player pricing, yes, but if they were a more common drop they’d be priced lower by players.
Translating them costs 7s. Maybe a little less with rep, but still.
The rewards are terrible for how rare and pricey they are for a single scroll. It ends up costing (on average) up to 1g for a one time use low damage AoE, a one time use melon polymorph effect, a short stat buff, and other useless things.
On rare occasion you get something mildly useful with a +1% spell hit buff or equivalent, but with how few and far between they are it costs like 40g for 30 minutes of 1% hit buff.
Never even saw the Scroll of the Blade, and that sword is not even great.
Mage scrolls should only drop for mages… I am tired of getting them and putting them on the auction house…

Blizzard can you make atleast a vendor where we can turn in any 5 of another type of scroll for one of our choosing?
would make this so much better
They need to:
- Buff the Drop rate.
- Label or color them based on Phases (Example Phase 1 White, Ph2 Green, Ph3 blue, Ph4 Purple etc.)
- Or scarp the system and give us those spells on a long cd.
