I enjoy tanking as well as dpsing and don’t like that I have to be pigeonholed into doing one or the other when choosing a profession. I think it would be nice for blacksmiths to be given the choice to craft Void-Touched Mail Gloves for all the warriors and paladins who want to switch between both roles. You can only equip 1 at a time, so I don’t see how this could be a bad thing. Just give them the same stats as the Void-Touched Leather Gloves so one isn’t better than the other.
Nah. Go leatherworking if you care about getting 100 parses.
Go blacksmithing if you’re willing to settle for 99’s as your upper limit.
Giving everyone the same versions of every single item is LAME. Choices need to matter.
Leather and Cloth users don’t need to make that choice. If they use leather then leatherworking is the best profession. If they use cloth then tailoring is the best profession. Only warriors and paladins have to make a choice, which feels pretty lame. It’s not something you can easily go to the trainer and spend 1g to switch back.
Leather and cloth healers don’t give a damn about the crafted gloves.
They choose something else, if they want to optimize their healing… you choose if you want to optimize your tanking or your damage.
P.S. You can still parse 99 with blacksmithing. It literally does not matter unless you want a NUMBER ONE PARSE.
And who’s to say I don’t want a number one parse? While also having the option to tank if needed. People will require their tanks to have the chest because it increases everyone’s dmg. It’s not really optional in any kind of parsing guild. Same with the gloves, dpsers are going to be required to have the gloves.
And none of the options are that great for healers, so that’s kind of a moot point imo.
If you are capable of getting a number 1 parse, then I’m confident that you are capable of tanking without the blacksmithing chest.
