they really need to add region transfers. my account is over 18 years old and i have items mounts pets acheivments that you no longer can obtian in the game. and i really just do not want to have to start completely over.
i moved to Europe 10 years ago, the game sometimes is almost unplayable due to horrible lantacy ( its a avg of 257ms- to 5.5kms), it is almost impossible to find groups in my active hours due to time zone difference. i end up spending most of my time playing completely on my own which is really not fun at all. i have quit wow 5 times in this 10 years mostly becuase of these reasons.
and dont say its a excuse of data laws because that is straight up lie there are hundreds of companies out there that provide this kind of service were u can transfer from EU to NA vise versa.

They have not definitively stated any reason it isn’t possible beyond how the game was coded when it launched in 2004. If you can refer them to another 20-year-old MMO that’s about to be 10 expansions deep, I’m sure they’d love to find a way.
The bottom line is it just isn’t as simple as players want to believe it is, or it very easily could have been done already.
every time that i ask them in support ticket they either ingore me or say its not possible. but im saying they really need to make it possible.
the fact is for players like me who are orriginally lived in usa and then moved to a different region it forces us to either deal with the horrible latancy or give up everything that we have worked very hard on for many years.

Because they’re not the correct people to ask. GMs can only go off information that the developers allow them to disseminate, or speculate. The latter is usually frowned upon.
And that’s commendable, and similarly no one is saying that it’s a futile endeavor. But CS is still not the correct forum to make your voice heard.
This has been asked a million times during the last 15 years and I know because I started playing in 2007 on EU. Posting on the forum and asking GMs won’t make it happen.
This was already asked/answered in the Dev interview. Sorry you didnt like the answer but it was no.
My guess is there are some legal reasons why. Unlike the US, the EU has very strict laws even when it comes to intangible items like characters in a game. Probably a lot of things they have in place with EU wow they would have to carry over into US wow. Things they either cant or dont want to carry over. This is why the EU wow token works differently than US WoW token.
i highly doubt that, blizzard is the only company i know that do not provide this type of service. i play many other games that you can just pay 100 $ to transfer from eu from na servers.
so if they can do it then blizzard can do it as well. honestly i think its the fact blizzard just refuses to do it.
Ever wonder why you can steal and use copyright material on Tiktok but not on Youtube? Tiktok servers are not in the US and not subject to copyright law. Going after the host of the servers with an international lawsuit would not be cost effective. They would simply move them to another country. This is why it hasnt been done and probably never will be done. This was just an example of a “Legal Complication”. The EU has many strict laws when it comes to “digital items” that US doesnt. If moved over then US wow would have to start to adhere to those. Blizzard either cant or doesn’t want to get involved with that process.
Like with any company doing ANYTHING it all comes down to $$$ and if its cost effective to do it. If its not they wont do it.

Im sure they have. We dont have the full story. We dont know all the Complications involved. Like I said before it comes down to $$$. Blizzard ask “Is this cost effect to do?” The answer to that question currently is No. A day when that changes Im sure they will consider getting the ball rolling.

i mean if its money i would throw 1k usd to transfer. at least the game would be playable again. i dont know if you have tried to pvp with 300 ms before its really not fun
I believe it’s a hold over from how Blizz first set up the game. At the start of WoW for legal reasons Blizz EU was a separate company and the game client was registered as a separate game. At least that is the way they explained it back then and why the two could not be linked at all.
So there are probably a whole lot of legacy legal restrictions that just don’t apply to modern games, and Blizz just doesn’t see enough of a demand to make it worth the time and money it would take to sort all that out.
Played on Oceanic Realms for years due to working 3rd shift. So I had an aussie playtime. And 1 person willing to toss in 1k to do that is just that. 1 person. If its not cost effective to do for the masses? then they wont. Pretty much you would have to become buddy buddy with Ion and someone would have to do it manually at this point.
I do feel you. I agree this should be done. I was just saying legal complications or just $$ or both is most likely the reason they are still showing no interest in doing so.
