At least half the folks on our raid team are complaining about the current state of WotLK. Inherently, the expansion is very fun, but we complete all the 25-man raid content in one raid night. That leaves us with 6 days of nothing to do.
For more context, almost our entire main raid team sees no point of running 10 mans because the gear is equivalent to heroic dungeon gear. We cannot get them to sign up for 10 man raids on their mains.
Since many of us are bored, we have made alts. Some of us have several 80 alts now. So it looks like we will just play alts for the rest of p1?
The problem is, vanilla and tbc 18 years ago was ahead of it’s time. We were given the opportunity to play through it again, and many of us have beat sunwell before prepatch. WOTLK 14 years ago was FOR it’s time. Right now, we have access to dps simulators, discord class channels, and wowhead, which expedites our character progress and gameplay. We did not have this many resources back in the day. So now that we ACTUALLY know how to play the game well, wotlk raid content is just… underwhelming.
It would be nice if we had a naxx hard mode that had similar damage/health scaling to that of vanilla.
