Please Add Moonwalking to Classic

I realize the client is very different now. I don’t know the technical side of this so I’m just wanting to get my point out there.

Vanilla through Wotlk (maybe longer) when you jump strafed(w/ mouse) you would moonwalk after a jump. I used this while I leveled, pve, pvp, everything I did I jumped and moonwalked around. Frostbolt -> jump moonwalk away from pathetic warrior -> Frostbolt -> jump moonwalk away /guffaw.

Is it possible for this to come to classic or is it just a technical thing with newer client that makes it not doable? It was a favorite qwerk of mine that I constantly used & would be really happy to see classic with it.

Love all the great info coming from Blizz this month re: classic. It’s nice the community is being listened to. Let me know if moonwalking is something you’d want back in classic & tell me if it’s not feasible to recreate an esoteric feature like this.

There using the new client so probably not, and I don’t think there going to purposly add a bug…

I mean it worked that way from at least 2004-2009. Idk if i’d qualify it as a “bug”. It’s part of classic, but I understand if they say it’s not feasible. It would just feel off not having it, not game breaking. Again there are lots of people like me who just moonwalked everywhere during every step of the game.

Wall climbing is another thing that lasted till at least mid wotlk. I wouldn’t mind that back, I know it can be abused. Again I understand if they don’t want it in lol would just be a nice addition since the goal is a recreation of vanilla.

Yeah, the jump is probably just my habit because I pvp. Jumping charge and other abilities to get a few extra yards wastes about a second of CC for them. But you’re right, you could just moonwalk whenever.

I’d really like it back in the game lol. I know some people will think it’s silly to add, but it really was a specific thing that a lot of us did through our whole journey in wow. I’d definitely notice if Classic didn’t have it and imo adds flavor to even the most monotonous activities like walking from zone to zone at low levels.
