I switched to linux because windows has gotten so buggy. ALL of my programs work except battle.net. I was about to resub but I can’t even get Battle.net to install correctly. I tried lutris and using proton via steam, wth no luck.

You should edit the post to move it to Community > General Discussion to provide feedback. Unfortunately this subforum is player discussion only regarding crashes and install issues, no development involvement, and mainly windows pc only.
Additionally usually the community will have better ideas regarding getting the game to run, maybe try Reddit? Or Off-Topic > Games, Gaming and Hardware

Makes security too easy to exploit and it would make it too easy to dissect what battlenet does to handle security. Linux is not supported, so it’s out of the scope of the support forums.

WoW runs fine on linux.
- Download the battle.net launcher
- Add it as a non-steam game in steam
- Set compatability to ge-proton-latest (install ge-proton first if needed)
- Run it and install battle.net as normal
- Go back to the steam config settings and change the launch exe from the installer to the regular battle.net exe and update the start in folder to match the folder containing it (it should be somewhere in ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/<some prefix number>/pfx/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Battle.net/Battle.net.exe)
- launch battle.net from steam and install wow as normal.

Do yourself a favor and use PikaOS or Bazzite.
I run Bazzite and it installed bnet easily and wow runs without issues (aside from the occasional AMD gfx timeout, and dx12 still causing graphics issues, but that’s just par for the course.)

Saving this for later. I’m having the same problem as the OP with Lutris, but I am done with windows.
