No, they keep them in the same hyperlight warp matrix they keep their arrows.
When Cataclysm came around, all hunters got their ammo bags infused with gnomish technology, even though gnomes couldn’t be hunters yet. Lol.

Or the superficial quiver for arrows. Ammo bag for bullets, and large bomb bag for wildfire bombs??

Thrown used to be a weapon type, but it was handled extremely terribly.
I’m actually glad their gone.

I could actually see this working, just give the Survival Hunter the ability to use polearms as a ranged weapon like how fury warriors can duel-wield two handers, or introduce a spear type weapon that is melee except for when Survival Hunters use it, lower the range compared to MM and BM hunters and there you go.

When!? You mean the vanilla warrior pulling weapons?
Yeah, there were spear throw equippables in the game, but they were monster only.
PC’s could use throwing axes and daggers, but they had a stack counter and when they ran out they were just gone.
I think it was more that many of the races didn’t have throwing animations for spears that they were monster only.
