The heroic world option makes questing so much more fun. It isn’t the painfully boring slog it is in retail, where you just one-shot everything. I actually get to use my characters skills. What a novel idea. While you are at it, please add an xp slider, so people can choose how much xp they want to gain. That is all, thanks
Why would you care if it’s completely optional?
Optional means you don’t have to do it and you can completely ignore it if you don’t like it. I don’t care what blizzard adds to the game when it comes to things like this as long as it’s completely optional and I’m not forced to partake in it

It would most likely be despised. People really don’t get the rapid nature, absurd powers and speed make it fun in remix. You add that to live with the slow movement, repairs, and the fact some classes are barely able to do anything outside of tank specs and the system would collapse.
I get the draw, it just wouldn’t work.
I’m fine with it being AN OPTION as long as it has no benefits and nothing is gated behind it. If it were ONLY a difficulty adjustment for people who want “challenge” in their WOW, cool.

I’m assuming HWT in Lemix is testing the water to do it live.
It would be cool at max lvl when everything becomes easy. usually when Expanison drops I want to overpower everything as soon as possible cause I hate questing and WQs.
But once i’m giga chad geared it would be nice to turn on HC world where I can strugle abit and get giga rewards for it. Would probably feel like classic.

Ok, first, I agree with the OP that, as a 10000% optional toggle, heroic world tier would be a fun addition to the game. If people want to play a squishy mage kiting the entire zone or a healer that kills at the speed of “when are my friends going to log on” against a world of hitpoint sponges, who am I to deny them that?
That said,
Is a perspective I just can’t relate to. I’ve been playing for 20 years. I have solved the game for the chill lane I play in. It is no longer a story quest’s place to challenge me, or infer that I don’t know what I’m doing. Tell me the story, monsters fall over, quest complete. That’s WoW’s story and open world’s place in my life now. It’s lost its “right to challenge.” Crazy take, I know, but like… it’s not WoW’s role to gate story or main thoroughfare satisfaction any more. Money goes in, scheduled success comes out. I got a 9-to-5 for daily challenges.
Not telling anyone they’re wrong to think differently, I just can’t relate.
Herioc World mode, felt like vanilla difficulty to some degree and I was thinking the samething lastnight question while leveling should feel like this again.

Same. I don’t want everything to die in one hit, but I also don’t want to go back to the ancient days of healing and waiting for cooldowns between every story quest or open world “pull”.

For me faceroll content is a slog. It is so boring I am in physical pain playing it…

How about actual real difficulty than taking a juiced up fortified affix and tossing it on the world.
Because smacking things with giant health pools and nasty auto attacks is tedium and faux difficulty. Entire areas need to have an aura for empowerment everything in the area gets by default instead of just random spawn enemies
And, by default, tanks need to take 300% more damage in the mode and this is multiplacative per mob engaged with them
Mythic world tier too.
And scale down rewards for non-heroic/mythic world tiers.
Should be mandatory mythic + world scaling
Complete the world quest in the timer or you fail it for the day
