Please add Boss skips to Legacy Raids

Raids like Antoras and Hellfire Citadel have had skip quests since day one. Older raids like ICC, Ulduar, SOO, Etc. do not have this feature. running these raids to try and get mounts is getting old. Why cant we have a skip feature in those raids? The common argument I see is “That’s not how it was back then.” Oh really? Like Blizzard hasn’t gone back and changed things in classic and retail. You’re dev team likes to lecture us on social media about how they wanted these recent changes and removals and that we the player base need to just accept them. If they can delete emotes, change character names, change quest content and etc. Then why cant something as simple as a skip mechanic to these old raids be put in?

TLDR:
If you can go back and change things to bowls of fruit, you can add in a simple skip mechanic in Legacy Raids.

I wonder what for.
They already butchered most of the instances we had fond memories about.

Soon there will be a “narrative mode” added if it was up to forum Warriors. You just see the game happening and press one or two buttons as an excuse.

I think it is even possible, as this new team made already this game into a graphic novel with Warcraft Elements.

Spine skip would be so nice. I really want that Drake :frowning:

Are you really that opposed to players seeing that part of the story? Do you think that levelers should be forced to join leveling guilds and progress through every raid and dungeon before they are permitted to level up? Get serious.

So people don’t have to waste hours and hours each week running alts through massive raids just to kill the last boss for a chance at the mount. Pretty reasonable request.

Especially since current skips require you to complete the full raid 4 times before being able to use it I don’t see how this is an issue. I don’t see what you’re so salty about

SoO has needed a skip since it was originally released. The entire raid is basically one giant troll.

HFC skip requires you to complete the first half of the raid 4 times, then take the next quest and complete the second half 4 times. So it takes 7 weeks. I know this because I did it more than a few times. Anybody wanna buy a quick lockout? Summons available! Carry your weak sauce alts! You know you want that mount!

Rare things are what they are because they are rare and demand effort.
Simply removing all obstacles to get the rare things others have is a slap in their faces.

Imagine how you feel for example if you got that shiny piece of armor after a lengthy quest chain and two hard bosses, and someone could simply skip everything and fight a mediocre boss to get the same item ?

There are plenty instances of that already.

It’s part of the game, the point isn’t to make rare drop mounts easier just because you can’t be bothered doing boring content. If you find it tedious to farm, that’s kind of the point.

The Felsteel Annihilator is only rare because it’s such a PITA to run that raid 40 times to get it.

Are you trying to tell me that bosses in old raids aren’t “mediocre” to everybody who is 50+ now? And by the time it’s old content, that “shiny piece of armor” is nothing but transmog.

Do it Blizzard!

Rare things are rare because they have 1% drop rates. Legacy raids are old content, the challenge is gone, you one shot every single boss in there anyway. The problem is the raids are still massive so it’s a huge time sink just to get to the last boss for a chance at the mount. Gets old after the 50th run

This comparison makes absolutely zero sense. You can only obtain the skips from doing the full content multiple times already.

The skip also doesn’t skip the entire raid and just give you loot. You literally have to “fight” the last and hardest boss still.

Also OP isn’t suggesting that we can just automatically skip to the last boss of brand new raids. They want a skip for old raids that players have been farming for years.

Actually they know how many times we have run those raids. They could retroactively give a skip to people who have run SoO x number of times. On an account-wide basis.

I mean sure but that would be kinda ridiculous to expect. Especially since skips have never been account wide.

How many runs does it take to get those shoulders?

The shoulders my guy is wearing?

Aren’t they one of the rarest transmogs in the game? People run that raid on a dozen plate wearers a week for years to get those.

I’m not going to type in your armory address, just assuming you have those shoulders that all the plate wearers do SoO for.

Uh nah they’re just a tier set from Antorus. I think they actually drop from more than one boss in the raid. You’re probably thinking of the Garrosh shoulders.

The shoulders I was referring to are the Tusks of Mannoroth.

Yeah I don’t have those.
