Please add barber shop in Phase 4 and allow body type change please

This is not classic era, so please consider adding it. I am sure majority of players would use this feature regardless of what they claim

This is something where there’s no reason not to.

Isn’t it? I’d be curious which client you put your addons in…

Sure. Well, actually idk if that’s accurate, but maybe. Regardless whether a majority does or uses something doesn’t make it good (or bad) per se.

I do not doubt that it would be a relatively well liked feature though.

I can use runes in Era?

Supposedly this already bad argument is going away anyways since blizzard might be moving to a single client for everything.

I think it kind of depends on what people mean. Like yes, there are changes that can be seen as significant in some directions, it’s a Classic Era Mod, but also yes it is very much the Classic Era game.

I mean SoD has gameplay changes bigger than going into TBC, it just doesn’t have as much new content.

And like I said supposedly blizzard is consolidating all the clients anyways so using well it launches from a different executable becomes an even worse argument.

I mean, I don’t think these words even mean what you think they mean.

WoW Classic: Season of Discovery is a modified WoW Classic Era. That isn’t a question.

Key word: Modified. OP is asking for, wait for it, a modification.

By that argument every expansion is just a modified version of classic era since they all started with vanilla as the base at some point.

Well…not sure how they could. – Because the shop in Stormwind is currently like an inn or something (bunch of eating tables).

That being said, they could centralize the Barber Shop in one city for each faction.

But yes, they definitely need to add it. If only for the RPers to bring their character to ā€˜life’. – I personally start my characters off with a head full of rich black hair. But as I level I slowly grey it, until at max level, I’m completely grey. And I’m not even a heavy RPer.

((I do find it funny that people are still clinging to the ā€œit’s vanillaā€. This is vanilla only in that it uses the Era client. Nothing more. I’ll use your retort against you: You want Vanilla? GO PLAY ERA!))

Not quite, but I do see where you’re going, which is why I stated above:

But the point that any changes means something completely different or that some changes means the same thing is contentious either way. Is a peanut butter sandwich still a peanut butter sandwich if you add banana slices?

It would certainly be much less work for a team to mod an existing game (WoW Classic: SoD) than for a team to create an expansion (WoW TBC). I suppose we may not all be looking at these things through the same lenses and such a disagreement isn’t worthwhile for the sake of discussion.

:woman_shrugging:

You think they created TBC from scratch and that it wasn’t just a modified version of vanilla?

You think from what I stated that this is what I think?

Yep that’s what you said.

It would certainly be much less work for a team to mod an existing game (WoW Classic: SoD) than for a team to create an expansion (WoW TBC).

TBC was just a modified version of vanilla.

And while it certainly added a lot more new content than SoD(what with all the new zones and instances etc…) the actual gameplay changes are at best on par with SoD.

Customization?!?!?!? In an RPG?!?!?!?!?

BLASPHEMY!
