Please add a "Queue for any random dungeon you're eligible for" button

Yes, please. It would make queues so much quicker and nicer for those wanting to level via Dungeons.

I’m in Legion and there are an absolute ton of people there, but Queue times are still far longer than before. At the worst times I saw 11m, but typically closer to 4-7 prior to prepatch for leveling dungeons. Now i’m finding 11m minimum and typically closer to 15-17m as dps.

All the silly arguments between aside, the dungeon queue really needs to be adjusted or at least give you the choice to select a few.

Going with the idea that this is essentially the system that is already in place.

Why would you expect such a drastic change from the Legion/BFA wait times?

Current implementation really sucks. Should be able to queue for any dungeon not just the four you get in the expansion you choose to level in.

Everyone saying “thats how its always worked” the 3 dungeons I’ve tried in WoD took so long it asked ifnI wanted to broaden my search, then insta popped for me to some other expansion. So obviously the ability is there. What’s the problem with the option being available right when you queue?

Overall I have no problem if Blizz wants to change it.

Its more of a question of why care now when the system is essentially the exact same as before.

Because it sucked before, is it just supposed to suck forever? :o

Imagine instead of contributing to the conversation about a game that needs improvement you just cam in to say another game is better providing nothing of value to the conversation.

You didn’t even explain how ffxiv does it better and why you think that way. You just came in, skilled for ffxiv, :poop: on wow, and are now getting overly defensive when called out.

My only gripe with this would be: that only fixes the problem for people looking to level through dungeons exclusively. For people wanting to re-live an xpac they’d have to slog through unrelated dungeons praying the next one is one from their expansion.

Sure they can queue specificly for that dungeon, but then they would have abysmal queue times making the same problem happen.

I say just make it so if you arent in Chromie time you have the original queue system. Vanilla for 10-15, bc 15-20, wrath 20-25, cata 25-30, mists 20-35, wod 35-40, legion 40-45, bfa 45-50.

The Legion/BFA system was a huge improvement on what we had before that.

So, I guess sucks is subjective.

I bet if everyone would have started this uproar back then and kept it up for 2 xpacks they would have fixed it.

It’s really going to depend on how many people are going through each expansion. Let’s say only 5% of people leveling at this exact moment chose Legion, then that’s all that will be available in the Legion dungeon queue. Whereas before, everybody that leveled had to pass through Legion, so I would have to immagine that there woulde be more available.

But more to my orginial point, why do we need to keep things the same as they were in the past? Blizzard seems to be making changes for the purposes of creating a better experience for us. So if allowing people to queue for all dungeons would make for a better experience, then why not allow it? There should be two option in queue, all dungeon or just your chosen expansion.

Yeah, it was an improvement. Are we only allotted one improvement per game? I’d like a broad queue just to break up questing with.

Yes. That is the new rule.

But really, keep up the fight. Like I said before, I won’t complain if they change it.

I giggled, thank you for that :3

To be fair this was always partially the case, but it gave us several options instead of just one.

None of that matters though, because this is an excellent idea, and there is no reason to hold back dungeon options anymore. Just let us do whatever we want.

It’s not suddenly a problem, but it’s a great time to address it! Not long ago I was given the choice to queue for… I think it was Cata OR MoP dungeons (thought it may have been wotlk… not 100% sure on that). When I queued for MoP/Wotlk my queues were very short, when I queued for Cata my queues were painfully long.

It’s bad to splinter the playerbase when all this scaling allows us to play anything at any time. What in the world is the point of all this scaling if it doesn’t improve our game experience?

that was before now the system has changed to allow us to choose any expansion at any time…I have to agree with OP on this one…

Don’t be ridiculous. How on earth can you expect busy queues ON DAY TWO? I’ll bet most of the players don’t even have one NEW character yet that is high enough to do dungeons.

A lot of players have NO plan to level up new characters immediately Why should they? I’m not.

Give it a month, THEN tell us how good/bad the queues are.

It is always silly to imagine that things will ALWAYS be the same as they are during the first 48 hours…or to ask Blizzard to change their game, every 48 hours…

And yet, you are you. There are a lot of people levelling at the moment. I was in Legion Dalaran last night and the place was very busy with lower level toons. I mean, for gawdsake, what else is there to do at the moment?

Funny thing is, I have a level 30 hunter that isn’t currently on the Chromie time thing, and when I checked, the only dungeon options were BfA. That felt particularly weird to me given my character’s level. When I queued on dps, the queue time was estimated at 16 minutes. And thats for current content. So…shrug…the game is in a weird spot at the moment and it wouldn’t hurt to have more options for dungeons available.

This will happen automatically actually. If you take part in Chromie Time, you only have access to the dungeons from that expansion, but, if the queue is taking too long you’ll see something like this:

I think they should just open every dungeon on the specific dungeon page. There are too many dungeons to only let us queue for a specific set at a time. People want to only queue for the expansion they are leveling in? Fine, let them. But let us have the option to queue for every dungeon regardless of where we’re leveling because I like dungeon hopping.
