I don’t know why they thought to put the portal from Valdrakken to ED in but not the other way. No one wants to go out of the portal that leads all the way to the Ohn’ahran Plains and fly back to Valdrakken from there.

We have like 9000% speed flying mounts and players still cry about having to travel 12 seconds through a portal that lorewise makes sense to be there (unlike the one in Vald).

there is a portal in the emerald dream that takes you directly from the emerald dream to valdrakken - it is called a hearthstone.
so in your scenario, you used your hearth while you were already in the emerald dream? otherwise your hearthstone would be ready to go when you want to leave.
just put your hearth into valdrakken.

I remember making a similar comment on GD about having no direct way back to Oribos and people saying the same thing. This approach does not fade with time, apparently.
A timely reminder: hearthstones have cooldowns. Portals do not. Portals be therefore handier.

um, your hearthstone cooldown is pretty short. if your hearthstone cooldown isn’t ready by the time you are leaving the emerald dream, then whatever it was you were doing in th eemerald dream wasn’t that important and you didn’t really need to go there…
pretty simple concept.

There is a big portal on the east side of the Emerald Dream back to Onhara Plains
Its a shame there isn’t some kind of enchanted portal scroll one could buy that you could use to set a location on 1st use and portal to that location on 2nd use…
Im sure it could even be integrated into several professions to craft it.

Exit out of dream go right over the hills to shady something grab Fm and boom, right there.
My hearth is in Valdrakken. Maybe I don’t want to use it because I have other things to do before I hearth back home. Stop with the non-sensical posts.

well, that’s because it is a complaint… so yeah… i would agree, it does sound like a complaint to me.
if flying back to valdrakken is too much for you, i would recommend planning your trips to the emerald dream a little more carefully in the future so you don’t run into the issue of having a hearthstone that is on cooldown when you are ready to leave.
if that’s a little too much for you to handle, you can always use your 910% speed mount to get back.
Surely they don’t actually want me to dalaran hearth to org portal to valdrakken portal, right? Because that’s exactly how I’ve been handling this. I need to find the location for the outgoing portal though, I’ve been flying to the edge of the map, then flight forming to the island and physically taking myself through the big portal. It does not appear that is actually necessary, which is good at least.

Just use you’re Hearthstone to get back to Valdrakken (or cast the Valdrakken teleport, if you’re a mage).

This would require someone in gen chat to acknowledge the existence of another player and respond to a query. This doesn’t happen on my server / battlegroup. It’s crickets all the time. Everyone on discord apparently.

Garrison hearthstone, regular hearthstone (likely should be set to Val), Legion Dalaran hearthstone, org/sw guild cloak, northrend dalaran ring, engineering wyrm portal thingers, am I forgetting anything? Numerous class portal options, too, depending on your class.
Also from just about anywhere in the ED, it’s like a 60s flight time max to the portal out, and from there to Val, it’s maybe 60-90s of dragonriding flight time? Throw in 15s for zone load (I assume your pc is slow, just because) and we are talking under 3m.
This whole situation is about saving 3m WHEN your HS is on CD. Really?
