Please add a political channel to wow so we can quarantine this toxic chat

Much like the services channel and how blizzard is banning people outside that dedicated channel. No one wants to listen to this nonsense.

When was the last time you saw a group get formed on the LFG chat? Or a trade negotiated in the trade chat?

You can make 1000 different channels and people still won’t use em. It solves nothing.

Just right-click report when people start going on their political rants in any chat channel.

A52 trade chat is rarely anything but a constant stream of people advertising crafts. Occasionally you get some action in it but it’s rarely heavily political or bad in any way from what I’ve seen.

Trade chat is just an endless stream of advertising from the crafting cartels. They now even have an addon that spams anyone that asks for a craft.

There is a difference between having a different opinion and intentionally trying to start a heated argument to upset people. Politics and religion are no-go topics that have no place in the global chat channels and the only way to stop them is to report and ignore.

People can have their opinions but not every subject of discussion is permitted in the game. You can moderate your own space with the ignore feature but when people start going way out of line, report is the way to go. Because WoW isn’t an adult-only game, there won’t be any Blizzard-made NSFW or ‘politics’ channels.

stop just ignoring it, start reporting it. if enough people actually put their anger into actions to remove those people from chat maybe it would have actual effects.

It would if they’d actually start enforcing the rules. Trade in Trade, LFG in LFG, guild-recruitment in guild-recruitment, politics in politics, and a global general chat for…global…genera…chat.

On my high pop servers, I have trade and services muted. On my low pop server, it’s quiet. And when it isn’t, it’s just people asking questions about things in the game or wanting something crafted.

I love my main server.
