Damage in group pvp is so high that there’s not much healers can do to keep their team alive in many situations. My proposed solution is to let innkeepers sell Divine Shield potions that cost 1 silver each. These potions would be on a separate CD from other potions, grant total immunity to all attacks, last ten seconds, and have a 30 second cooldown.
This would go a long way towards fixing the global everyone meta that is currently the norm in battlegrounds. Kill windows would be very different, teams would have to strategize based on who’s DS pot was on CD and who’s is not. It would let healers do their job without getting stunned or kicked to death all the time, and work as a nerf to all the OP classes. Team fights would last much longer and the OP abilities would have more counterplay available.
If Blizzard truly wants to make BGs fun and competitive while letting every class be OP, giving everyone a Divine Shield potion option could be a good start.
