Playing WoW on a TV, can it work?

I have a Toshiba 32" 1080p LCD HDTV that I would like to play WoW on. My other monitor is a Hannspree HF229H 22" Widescreen LCD. I notice a difference in the color and sharpness of the display on the TV than the monitor where the monitor has a cleaner image than the TV. From what I’ve read online so far this is normal for a PC monitor to have a better image than a TV as a display for a computer.

So I am trying to find out if there is any way to make the TV display more like a PC monitor display. I’m using Windows 10 Home so any display settings I could try or any TV display settings that could work I would like to try. If anyone has any experience with this or knows if it is possible to make a TV display show more like a PC monitor display please let me know.

Update: I went into my TV settings and noticed it has a gaming mode and a picture mode for PC so I turned both on and the display looks a lot better now. The only problem I seem to notice is a bit too much contrast or brightness on certain things but I think I can fix that with some setting adjustments. I’ll keep messing with it and see what happens.

The gaming mode probably shot up the sharpness on the tv settings.

As for the image quality nothing you can really do about that sadly. It’s due to the pixel density of the TV being 32" at 1080p. Only way to improve it would be to get a higher resolution display. For 1080p max I would go is 27", 1440p is 32" and 4k is whatever. Sizes are for Monitors.

There’s nice quality TVs out there but they cost an arm, leg and kidney.

I hated looking all over the place on a TV and stuck with my monitor.

45 inch basic LG flat screen and it is great!

I have a TCL 4k that I have an htpc hooked up to. My buddy plays wow on it when he comes over. I’ve also played some shmups on it. I actually had a nicer tv that I sold and got the cheaper tcl since all I do on my tv is use my xbox, and watch b horror movies. The old one was nicer for movies but the TCL is great for games. Apparently a lot of their tvs have low input lag and this one doesn’t have interpolation or anything strange to turn off. You can check the website Rtings, they’ll give you an idea of what tvs are good for games.
