To be fair, win/loss rates shouldn’t change much with separation. You’ll either win or you won’t. That won’t change with the aforementioned in a BG or not. What does change is the overall quality. You don’t have twinks farming HKs instead of focusing on objectives. That’s the big part that we’re seeing.

Well having done BGs before and after the separation I have noticed that twinks tended to focus more on objectives than the levelers with missing gear. There is normally the clash at the start of the bg, and the side which focuses targets better is victorious. After that the twinks try and get a quick win, while the levelers proceed to sit in mid or camp graveyard.

All in all class imbalance and lack of coordination/teamwork is far more substantial to the pacing of a BG than twinks ever will be.

Of course it’s mostly twinks doing objectives. Levelers tend to run away from fights, or feed the other team HK’s on the road/ in mid.

Imo the best outcome would have been to have 2 brackets. Those who only want fast queues to participate in a facet of the game they like - we can call this the open bracket. It will consist of twinks and levelers who only want to make the queue time as fast possible.

Option two would be for the people who like to put in very minimal or zero effort while still being able to “enjoy” BGs. We can call this the derp bracket. In this bracket new and exciting spells would even be added to the spellbook!!! For example the ability to hold a picnic with the opposing team instead of the unhealthy competition to determine the winner. This bracket would cater to those who are very proficient in the art of keyboard turning and backpeddling.

Any further suggestions for the “new and improved” spellbook for the derp bracket are welcome.

This is amazingly fun. One quick run in DS and I get big every BG when I attack.
Still sitting at 90% winrate. Still GY farming. Still twinkin! I’d stay subbed for this if it wasn’t for 45 minute queues.

I very much enjoyed twinking before the xpoff/on change.

It was a nice change of pace from farming warforges at 120 (406 ilvl whoopie~). I really enjoyed seeing the same faces in a BG where I started keeping tabs on people and calling focuses early. It’s been a long time since I felt like that, at least since they merged servers and made everything cross server, a lot of that community feel was gone.

It’s a shame that they are separated now because while I’m still subbed and still play, I don’t have the time to really dedicate for wargames (doesn’t help that I work weekends either). So now I’m kind of relegated to do leveler bgs when I don’t really wanna level a too (not gonna exploit).

Sense of community at 120 doesn’t really exist imo. I can do +10s with different people all the time and never see them again. I’m sure it would be there again if I pushed for +20 or higher keys, or mythic raided, but I just don’t have the time needed to dedicate to those things.

BGs, and moreso arenas aren’t balanced at all at 120 for gear (decided to try PvP on my 370 ilvl too and just got smashed by 400-415 players, who had 50-80% more HP and hit almost 100% harder). Now that’s on me for not pveing to gear that guy up, but it feels worse that the differences at low levels imo.

In response to the change I’ve been working on a 70 twink because I wanted to try and make wargames and maybe PvE but with my schedule it isn’t gonna happen.

But I do enjoy twinking, other than some balancing issues on blizzard, it was really nice to have some sense of rivalry and be able to casually queue to compete.

It’s ok though, because I’ll keep farmin’ levelers in my non-enchanted leveling gear because literally nothing has changed. Better players still come out on top, with or without the gear. Bad players still get farmed.
