Playing old content more than SL

Anyone else spending more time playing past expansions’ content then SL? The lack of rewards in SL is making me work on old content like transmogs and mount collecting. I normally only do old content during lull periods like during the end of BFA.

Tying renown to WQ gear was a bad idea. If Blizzard can’t increase loot drops than we should have Valor or Justice points back.

Have more ways to get Soul Ash besides Torghast.

This expansion to me seems like Blizzard is super focus on the 1 percent while leaving everyone else out in the dust.

Currently farming individual Tillers rep rather than playing SL.

Running out of old content to hunt, personally. I’m trying different MMOs instead in case the game stays unappealing.

I know Final Fantasy was pretty lame to level through, but it still seems more interesting than SL’s casual content.

Agree with you. All this gating isn’t just frustrating, it’s demoralizing and makes the game…not fun. I get it, they want to slow us down so we don’t burn through content so fast but…you know…lack of content is still lack of content and you can’t hide it real well behind all these gates…players having nothing to do and seeing no reason to log in because they have…nothing rewarding to do other than chase transmog items and mounts in old expansions…that’s really sad. Same stuff…reskinned…some new storyline written around it…is still…old crap we’ve done before. When unlocking storyline is doled out this slow, it really quickly burns people out because it feels like a lot of time and effort for…way too little reward.

Yup, I enjoy leveling new toons more in old content way more than SL. When I reach level 50 I’m pretty much done with that alt because I’d rather not level through SL again. (Even with threads of fate)

its what i always do i do the main casual stuff in current xp then go back to legion to farm transmogs. luckily i have all the mythic transmog since i spent the majority of bfa joining groups for legion raid farms… so basically all i need from mythic is mounts

Nope. I already played though all that. I’m just playing other games.

I’m just waiting until legion raid scaling gets a tweak, there are some mythic nighthold sets I wanna chase. Also the bfa dungeon mounts.

But I haven’t really stepped into old content. I’ve kept an eye on tiragarde sound invasions for an achievement. That’s about it.

Yep. Though I am enjoying leveling a few alts more than I did during bfa, I’m still farming stuff on older expansions more than on the current one. Except bfa, screw it, I haven’t stepped in a bfa zone since the expansion ended (except for a couple of times my covenant campaign sent me to drustvar and nazmir and i hated it because i didn’t want to be in a bfa zone).

I’d love…LOVE to be farming mythic ToS or mythic Antorus but sadly Blizzard said “HA raids that are two expansions old LULZ not soloable and working as intended”

Seems to be spiteful for the sake of being spiteful.

shouldve just spent bfa joining groups to farm the legion stuff

was way more fun than bfa at least

The only time I go to BFA is to buy cheap thread for 7G 20 S to send to my tailor to make bracers to DE for dust to sell on the AH.

currently doing old world quests and dungeons rather than play shadowlands.

Yup. I have barely played anything in Shadowlands.

Currently I am taking a break from unlocking the Nightborne for my kids and playing in Argus, to unlock the LF and Void Elves.

Eventually I suppose I will get into SL, but it just hasn’t hooked me yet.

I did for a bit. I’d just much much…MUCH rather solo old raids than have to form a group for them.

Even without the Legacy buff, older content is a lot more fun and way more popular than shadowlands.

actually there is one for legion it’s just really small and barely noticeable.

I got 1 to 60, saw what “Threads of Fate” looked like and basically just decided to play around in older content. Started in legion so lots of “new to me” content to cruise through, maybe shooting for lore master.

For me SL just feels like too much grinding. Renown, reps, anima, soul ash, push Torgast, push M+, low gear drop rates, and since I’m not raiding at the moment it just feels like overload.

I also feel like I need to hit up wowhead for like everything that might need a choice (covenants, soul binds, legos), for parts of the story that were in books or in past expansions, feels like so much of the game is outside of the game now…it breaks immersion and makes it feel like a research project just to play.

I’m hoping its just a 9.0 thing and the later patches even it out. have 4 months or so of time left, so we will see. Seriously considering going free to play.

I’ve got this character Xp turned off at 41 while I finish old world, another character in Oulands, and another in Warlords. I didn’t even buy SL.

MAN am I glad I’m not the only one doing this. I was in Half Hill 2 days ago thinking “I’m probably the only person still messing with this place”.
