Playing glads at 1600 is so fun

Higher number does not = harder.
Solo shuffle is ripe with inflation because casual players are not playing 2s and 3s.

Ladder is infinitely harder right now because people are exclusively queuing top tier comps, where in solo shuffle everyone has the chance to get absolute crap comps. The RNG nature of dps / healer placements just comes down to playing a lot of games. Eventually you get strings of favorable lobbies if you queue enough.

Are you high? The people at the top of the solo shuffle ladder are the same AWC & R1 players on the 3s ladder. If anything their experience transfers way better then the majority of mid level 2s and 3s players.

A lot of the R1 players you are likely stalking don’t have the time to sit in 30-40 minutes queues at high RSS rating all day every day. Not everyone is a jobless streamer who plays WoW fulltime. It’s not a “cant” push situation, there are plenty of people like me who just don’t like investing the time to stare at my monitor doing nothing while waiting for queues.

I’ve finished gearing so I have no reason to queue SS. It’s not worth my time to wait 50-60% of the time I am logged into the game to then play 6 rounds of SS for the other 40%. It’s boring as hell and 3s queues pop in 1-2 minutes.

Didn’t anyone else read the blue post about weekly inflation during seasons and how it was delayed for this season but starting next week…

I’m pretty sure that same inflation injection will be applying to SS as well, as it is technically a rated arena bracket too.

So expect SS to hit 4k CR this season lol.

A salute to many players, if you get an RSS rating of 1.8 and above you are pretty good at wow. Because you had to fight through many Gladiators and types of players who live for wow, or play arena as a full time job.

They didn’t add any inflation into RSS either though, right? Natural inflation happens with natural participation. I’m pretty sure RSS inflated all by itself. They only ever started adding extra inflation back in the day once participation/new player entry got low enough anyway. I am interested to see more participation metrics in general. Like what was the total endgame playerbase participating in rated arena, counting shuffle this season, vs the last few expansions’ first seasons.

It is applying to SS.

After day one of this season, when most of the famous PvP streamers magically knew how to exploit the wpvp gear currency to get full purples in a couple hours, 2400+ day one. And they was allowed to keep the ratings.

nope never trusting the rating system ever again lol.

You act like they weren’t gunna get that anyways.

Its 10 ilevel each piece not entirely huge either.

I just laughed as they went balls deep while i did my best to minimize the cc train the mage was laying down on me. Last solo shuffle I’ll ever do. Id rather play games with my friends and enjoy fast queues and banter than play with dudes with 1k games of shuffle at 1500.

I dont think so.

hes on a burner account stop getting baited

No one is playing because DPS are able to reach their highest ratings ever by just spamming RSS. If RSS didn’t exist, 2s/3s would be very active.

Agreed addons are 100% skilled lol

Correlation isnt causation my guy

i dont understand why people are so intimidated by glad mounts and glads. anyone can be glad within 1 season with enough effort ( a lot of effort). the only intimidating players are r1 players. and not the fake r1 players who bought their accounts or title because you can easily tell if someone is a r1 player.

glad mounts anyone can get with 50 wins over 2400 and you have no reason to be intimidated by them. especially if theyre at 1600.

Don’t engage with trolls. Everyone who complains “Oh 3s is so scripted” or “Addons play the game for you” are almost without exception low-rated and unable to play/climb even WITH addons, or thinking they know a script. They’re just looking for something else to blame for them being unsuccessful.

Oh noes, people have alts.

Making the glad mount account wide was just bad because it feeds into these lazy players mentalities.

No it wasn’t.

Season 1 shadowlands had a large spike because of lockdowns and the fact PVP gear was very strong in PVE.

Mid season 1 the ladder literally collapsed.

By S2 the ladder was held together by artificial inflation to replace all the people who quit.

Season 3 saw even more people quit.

By season 4, we had record low participation.

Shadowlands gearing was part of the problem, not the solution.
