So in BFA with the azerite traits I felt like I had to just stick with one spec and build it up with the best traits. But how is it in shadowlands? I love outlaw for pve, and I love sub for pvp, and would really like to stay semi viable in both specs, but if it’s gonna get really tough in the later weeks I might just stick to one spec again.
Shadowlands appears to be far more friendly to spec-swapping than BFA. Our Conduits can now be pretty painlessly swapped around (the one-week cooldown is long gone) and there isn’t much else locking you to a spec. Some people might feel that their Covenant choice is quite strong for one spec while middling for another, but that is a minor gripe.
The big restriction will be legendaries, as the best ones are generally spec-specific and their creation and ranking are both expensive, time-gated and laborious.
Right now, since we don’t really have legendaries in play yet, and you have ONE conduit unlocked, yeah switching specs is easy peasy.
