"Playful" faction battles - Do you enjoy this?

To clarify simply:

I like toying with the other faction. Especially lower levels. One of the things my friend and I (on my Priest, usually) end up doing is we’ll wander up to some Alliance player who’s around our level and the fact that we don’t both immediately lead with instant DoTs tends to convince people we don’t want to kill them. We wait a few moments, respond to any /emotes appropriately, then I just push Psychic Scream and we laugh on voice call and run off in the other direction.

Last night, there was a Night Elf Druid who got mad that I took her quest mob, so she Raked me once and then ran off. It was clearly a love tap and I felt no need to pursue her because… why would I? I did just take her mob lol

Stuff like this is super fun to me. And yes, I am a total advocate for “if it’s red, kill it dead” since I rolled on a PvP server, but sometimes there are just chances to have a bit more fun with silly moments where it’s the player interacting with the player rather than two opposite faction characters destined to duel to the death.

Don’t get me wrong if there’s a good reason to fight we will murder you and jump on your corpse, no questions.

What do you guys think? Little moments like this have definitely heightened my experience in PvP zones and I hope that most people on the other end of it have a chuckle too, but of course it’s kind of tough to ask them on the spot :stuck_out_tongue:

Alliance in SM are used to getting killed/camped by the horde there I guess, so whenever there’s a chance for one of them to attack me because I’m flagged for PvP then they do so. Even if I’m not trying to start anything, and I just left a contested zone they’ll start to attack me as I run into the instance.
So now, I’ll hop back out, hit them with a flame shock and zone back in lol.
If it’s a fair match then I’ll actually stay out and fight

I like to Hamstring people running by me on mounts and then run the opposite directions.

The only issue is I always seem to crit on the first hit so they get deep wounds…

Using freeze trap on passersby is pretty funny. Had a mage run up to me after just to Ice Block himself in protest.

I am guilty of keeping max range on people and just viper stinging all their mana away without doing any damage to them.

Also sometimes just unequip my polearm and karate chop on people and see how they respond.

I’ve done similar things… dismounting and sheeping the horde lowbies and then moving on. I did it yesterday to a warrior who was nearly dead. He got full life out of the deal and can thank me later.
