Last night I did a heroic Arcatraz with a group of “raiders”, they all had loot from prince and gruul and would not stop doing the “wiggle” the whole run. Wiggling is basically when you press your movement keys rapidly and gyrate in place while dpsing or waiting. The fury warrior literally would not stop doing this while jumping the whole run.
Ngl it did get on my nerves about half way through the dungeon when they started to wipe on stupid stuff. His dps was ridiculously low despite being in full epics and hovered above the tank by the end of the run. It was funny when he got MC’d by the last boss and I killed him with a “stray shadowbolt” though.
One of my former guildies from back in original tbc would wiggle and jump around excessively when he was getting bored with the instance, so I wondered if that was the case with this group.
What about you? Do you do the wiggle and hop around like a jumping bean? If you do would you explain it to me?
I mean theres nothing really wrong with it. It only got annoying when they started to fail in the run. Like they were geared af and they were wiping to stupid stuff. I had to sandbag my dps hard because the tank couldn’t keep agro and he was doing the wiggle too.
I think they were trolling me because they were all from a raider guild and I’m in a casual pve guild.
When I’m killing mobs out in the open world I like to run through the mob and do a sweet 180. It does absolutely nothing, and it’s dumb, but it makes me feel cool. Sometimes I also like to jump and do a sweet 360 in the air while tanking easy mobs for style points.
I’ll jump around and stuff in PVE but not the point where it does anything with performance, actually more like in between pulls and things. I don’t know if it comes from moving around a lot in PVP and it just being a habit or what but I’ll admit to doing it.
It sounds like those guys might have been in Discord having a good time and not really focusing on the dungeon or something. Who knows.
I’m very guilty of this. But I also don’t let it effect my play. It also keeps me more reactive if I’m in motion constantly like another poster mentioned.
