It was on Usb 2.0, that should tell you enough. It’s not comparable to a ssd by far xd
Because they are either cheap or can’t afford it. Now can my question get answered?
It’s the internet and we have strong opinions about anything and everything =P
Think the oldest psu I have lying around is 6 years, they can get a bit iffy to run late into life honestly lol
Good time to upgrade, you wouldn’t want it finally failing and taking out something else with it.
We’re talking about other peoples computers because they’re complaining about requirements being increased
Very true. I just get confused by it is all since I don’t care at all what any one here does or what their computer specs are.
You should get an SSD regardless of WoW or not.
HDDs work, they’re fine. But they’re slowly aging hardware. They’re an old mechanical design that’s being surpassed by SSDs digital storage.
How dare blizzard force me to improve the same computer I’ve had for almost 20 years for their game in 2020!
What’s next? I need to upgrade my rotary phone so I can read texts??
Where does it end?
Pfft, next you’re going to tell me to get rid of my dot matrix printer.
How do I put an SSD in? Is it a thing that I can just stick in to the pc like a stick? Or do I got to literally open my pc and remove the hard drive and put it in?
hey now, those printers are amazing, you can print banners on those things.
That’s all well and good, but it’s a hard call to make as a company. Do you upgrade, and risk very angry customers, who are justifiably upset that they can no longer play the game that they were playing just fine yesterday, or do you lag behind to allow old hardware to continue to be used?
Is gud, I’m seeing more people around with the SL release around the corner.
No, mostly because that machine imploded, but that’s irrelevant.
I’m not 100% sure what you mean by this, but it’s a hard business decision. You’re either alienating and upsetting part of your playerbase, or you’re not keeping up with the times.
All the other stuff in my rig is about 7 years old too. My poor old first gen Titan isn’t holding up like it used to even at 1080/1440p in modern games.
you can do it two ways
you can get an external usb 3 or thunderbolt one and just plug it into a usb slot
or you can get an internal, most pcs and laptops have extra room for them.
We miss you on MG Sammie! that being said i am actually migrating over to WRA, I’m on Horde side and the people do seem nice.
I have friends on hordeside WRA, but I won’t play there. Say hi to Fox for me if you see them!
I also have alliance but y’know kind of expensive to migrate some 10 120s n all so peice by peice
Now do it twice for six and realize how much I hate myself.
I feel like this is a strange hill to die on. American drivers need a LOT of help, and I don’t think knowing how to change their oil is on the list of priorities.
It also leaves out the elderly or those with a disability that can’t do it themselves, they wouldn’t be allowed to drive based on some arbitrary standard imposed on them.
When in reality the dmv is a horror show and there’s a lot of sketchy things that happen there.
I suppose part of the fault is on them then for not understand that computer games require upgrades every few years huh? I do agree people need to understand that newer computer games will be in line with modern computer tech. I do agree with people recommending upgrading to SSD since some of them are cheap.
