Players Abusing Mass Report/Auto Suspension System in WSG

Can’t condone this, but…

Blizz has not stepped in and people may take matters into their own hands.

Opie’s situation is a little diff tho, he’s premade vs premade.

all those who reported your fc should receive a 1 month ban

Thanks for the post OP, i hope more people take notes and do this more often to raise awareness so finally these automated mass bans can go away.

The only way to bring change is to abuse it in away it wasnt intended

Well we weren’t really “premade”, we were a group of 4 guildies that were running a few WSGs without discord (and without any of us playing disc priest). The horde group we played had a similar team build with a smaller group of 4-5 (the group we assume is pushing the recent mass false reporting) and 5-6 pug members on their side.

Yeah really hoping any horde players that are matched in the same group as these false reporters come forward…

Also, looks like Asmon received a similar automated suspension (for inappropriate name) a few weeks earlier…guessing these guys picked up on this flaw in the automated system, and are now using inappropriate name reports to their benefit in WSG

Asmon was playing on an RP realm and had a non-rp name, his suspension was justified. Are you also playing on an RP realm? Because your guildie’s name is not an RP valid name.

all im hearing is the fix to premades is to report the flag carrier everytime and theyll eventually stop joining as a premade

got it

Asmon was unbanned after they reviewed and confirmed it was false mass reporting. Most of us dont have streamer privilege for quick reviews by a GM though

We’re on a PVP realm, but maybe BGs all follow RP realm rules since theyre cross realm?

This is a pretty big generalization. Just because you’re playing as Alliance, which means you face Horde opposition, you assume it is only Horde doing this. You could just say “people” instead of “Horde” and avoid starting an unwarranted faction-based flame war.

Family sticks together

I know its a generalization, but the 3 recent cases have all been from horde side mass false name reports to alliance FCs so far. It is very likely one specific player/group thats unfortunately on horde side at the moment.

If there are any cases from horde side FCs receiving the inappropriate name ban mid WSG, please share them here.

Ive seen this twice now as well. I completely agree - until evidence is provided that Alliance are doing this as well it feels completely justified (and on brand) to call out Horde for doing this. Theres even Horde players in this post encouraging it

And again. You’re insinuating that Horde are all bad and Alliance are all good.

It’s also on brand that you’re more concerned about people not saying nice things about you than the actual issue at hand

Hopefully this becomes more widespread so Blizzard will finally get rid of this ridiculous system.

So what you’re saying is pugs should report the entire enemy team for their name if it’s a premade.

Dude turning the issue into horde vs alliance is cringe and does absolutely nothing for anyone. Every player should be together against this bullsht. Furthermore if Alliance were doing it you wouldn’t know because it would be a 10 man premade (likely in discord) doing it.
