Anyone realize that the playerbase is so down that epic bgs have 40 min+ ques if they even pop at all now? I’m in a 1 hr 20 min que atm.

try going mercenary for the horde. The guy you talk to for that is in the pvp room in Valdrakken

YA if you are queing epic battlegrounds, it’s usually quite long for alliance. really short for the horde but may lose more

alliance is like 70% of the pop right now, so enjoy long queues.

Are you queuing at max level?
Is your honor level above 30?
Guessing this must be sub-max? Because level 70 epics are usually the quickest pops.

People are sick of getting in a 2 person party to fight EBG teams of 15+players on coms to get slaughtered until it is over, we are only going to die/lose so many times.

No idea, so far I haven’t had a queue last longer than a few mins.
That was the queue time for Alliance back in WoD so that isn’t anything new. And then that was the queue time for Horde in BFA.
So yeah nothing has changed really.

Only the elite pvpers, RMT pvpers, and few long loyal casual pvpers are still roaming about. Overall, PVP participants have been on a decline.

Ofcoarse PVP playerbase is down. Blizzard doesn’t care about PVP to the extent that it deserves.
-They can’t fix their maps. There isnt enough maps either. Games like COD and BF have new maps being released for their current game version (2023-2024) and WoW can’t produce more than 4 epic maps since 2004? You kidding me? Sticking to WoW, there have been 3 RAIDS in Dragonflight, 0 new Epic maps… this alone is a loud statement from Blizz showing how much they care about PVP.
-Evokers still dont have a book in ashran, and the warlock one hasnt been updated.
-Too many players are elitist
-Even with a good PC, game experiences lag quite often.
-Q’s take too dam long
-Communities Premades not helping the situation. Same with the pugs gameplay, in fact it is only making people seek premades cause of how dumb pugs can be.
We also have to look at the mindset of these players now. Conquest seems to be the only reason why most people even PVP. Had an AV match that was competitive and we lost. Players were complaining about spending an hr in a match that was pointless cause of the loss. Like really? It didnt matter to me cause I specific Q AV and AShran and can not earn conquest. If players are only playing for the conquest then that’s a problem with the player and maybe a little with the game. In the event of a loss maybe add a feature where their next win extra conquest is earned so they can actually PVP without worrying about conquest.
Then finally, the biggest cause of why playerbase is down… its because Classic Ashran isn’t a permanent thing. BRING BACK CLASSIC!

It used to be more fun in the past when everyone was honestly having much less clue and just trying their best.
Nowadays many players are very calculating and group up and follow meta for maximizing winning potential. Which forces others to group up or pushes them out. Which all leads to a very saturated competitive environment, which is only fun for the people who endure it. Hence low participation.

Teamwork is great, by all means queue sync and use discord for non-rated content. Just dont expect me to queue for EBGs.

Subscribers play for conquest due to spec imbalance making the non-premade pvp gameplay not so easy to play for fun. Ohh! what was that?!, Ah yes, died to a 600k Sniper shot, Rez oh look, my WoG and FoL heal for less than 30k and inturupt my rotation, yay.

They’re not even adding a new raid for season 4. Not sure what they’re doing but it’s not anything relevant right now. Granted I’ve only been pvping in a serious manner this season after a 12 year hiatus from the game before my return in season 2 but even I’m starting to get bleh with the same maps.
I’m only lvl 29 in honor but I totally understand why the horde does premades now. They have almost no shot if they don’t in solo q.
ya noone queues epics theyre ok sometimes, just usually 1 sided it feels.

Of course it’s down …tuning is so erratic. People will play a bit during new seasons and xpacs and then Realize this game is about bipolar and only about garnering token sales…then mass exodus
