I’ve said this many times over the last few months, including several times in this thread before now. One of the classes is druids, I forget the other one. The quests were not finished because BC was released before they were finished (the ST class quests were released in 3 waves iirc) and they were released during BC. My point is that’s irrelevant because it’s an obvious incomplete feature that would have been in vanilla if BC had happened later.

and what does that have to do with actual design?

you are basically arguing that anything broken or unfinished, is the exact same thing as purposely designing the game in a completely different way.

and who determines that? YOU? do you determine if flying should be in the base game, from launch- as opposed to BC?

And yet the goal is not, nor has it ever been to fix everything wrong with vanilla. It is to simply bring vanilla back.

By your logic we should also fix all broken classes, remove the debuff limit, and retune raids and fix armor while we are at it.

No, that’s what you are saying. I’m saying the opposite.

you seem to be very confused. i suggest you read above again.

You literally just said we should add something to classic because it was intended, and broken but unfinished

Welp I read it again. Looks like I still said that the ST quests were obviously intended as classic content and claiming otherwise is willfully ignorant and the only reason to express that wrong idea is to avoid contradicting your no change cliche. And you still said that it wasn’t in vanilla so it wasn’t supposed to be. Then you self owned with this quote.

I give up. All I’m getting is a headache

Guess you weren’t done, huh?

alright, then i will point it out myself. this conversation between us, started with you tried to twist the definition of essential. as below-

which leaves the door open for aka non essential changes. which contradicts the entire definition of authentic. which is what classic is built on.

does it suck that a druid quest was not completed? sure. but it will remain uncompleted.

Bye. Not gonna bother. You clearly have some wierd logic going on that only you understand.

Not according to the definition of authentic that you provided. According to your definition, as long as all essential features are replicated, it’s authentic. The incomplete class quests are not essentially incomplete, so changing them does not make the game less authentic. It’s very straightforward logic built on your own definition.

thanks for confirming that you are indeed trying to twist that definition.

thats not how that works. and you will find that out.

authentic refers to the condition in which vanilla launched, flaws and all. reproducing otherwise- is NOT authentic.
the same goes for any classic car produced and sold. even if it is 50 years old. reproduction, authentic recreation- is not a single detail altered for any reason. the only details that need to be altered are those that are required for performance.

You specified essential features. The incomplete quests were a feature of classic, but not an essential feature. There is no twisting involved. You just don’t like how you set yourself up and are wrong by your own definition.

it wasnt my definition. it is the definition from merriam-webster. you are taking one single part of the definition and twisting it to mean something that it does not mean, to create a fallacy.

but since you can not grasp that the definition is referring to essential features, as in the main focus/most important part of any reproduction- and since i dont have the nerve to argue semantics, which is exactly what this is and not the actual meaning- i will post every definition to the word possible.

true and accurate
made to be or look just like an original
not false or [imitation]
made or done the same way as an original

good luck twisting those :+1:

Ah so you’re wrong by Merriam-Webster’s definition then. My mistake.

no. im pretty sure your understanding of the first definition, is asinine.
well, not that you know the definition of asinine either but whatever.

hence why i posted 4 more definitions from the exact same place (merriam-webster).

see how easy it is when stupid people dont argue semantics to try and get a leg up, in a debate they know nothing about?

Might just want to give up. Clearly they don’t care about anything but getting there one special change
Despite the negative impact such a change would have

As I have repeated several times, this does not apply to the ST class quests. Another self-own. Keep em coming.

i agree.

trolls pretending to be smart, is entertaining though.
